Now that I went for a walk, had a snack, cleaned the litter box, worked on my puzzle and read all the threads I GUESS I should work on painting the trim like I said I would do today.
I should also start pizza dough, wash dishes and pull stuff out for dinner too.
TV: whatever she ate definitely upset her stomach (if only that would make her learn her lesson…), but she is better now and thankfully it was nothing ER worthy.
Borrowed neighbor friends truck to deliver a bed yesterday. They had towels that had gotten left in the bed of the truck and were wet (they have twins and a newborn, their life is chaos lol) so I decided to bring them in and wash them before we returned the rig. But guys the smell of their detergent or fabric softener or whatever is so strong. This better not end up staying in my washing machine. I do not understand how people handle this. I can literally smell their towels from downstairs.
I truly don’t understand how people use the detergent scents they use, and so much of it. I have to use a laundromat, and I’m that strange person who sniffs all the machines because otherwise my laundry will come out smelling terrible and give me a headache.
I’ve probably told this before, but when my son and I biked from Pittsburgh to DC on a trail w/camping along the way, we knew we were back in the city when suddenly everybody going past us just reeked of detergent scents
My best friend is suuuuuper scent sensitive, and breaks out in hives if she has to sit near someone who uses smelly detergent. We have had to leave a theatre because of it. For her normal tide is ok to sit near, but if she wore clothes washed in it she would be itchy for weeks.
It sucks so badly for her.
My complaint is that the airline cancelled my flight and rebooked me for a day that doesn’t work for me. I had originally booked the flight through a third party. Now the airline says to talk to the third party and the third party says to talk to the airline and I can’t get anyone to help me.
It me! I recently gave my mother a Costco size tub of tide we ended up with through convoluted means. No go for me I also always travel with my own blanket, so I can sleep without touching the linens as necessary.
My washing machine still smells like scented detergent from 3 months of having someone rent from me almost a year ago. It is soooo strong to me, I have no idea how other people handle the smell. My towels will never be the same thanks to tenant using Tide, Downy scented washer beads, fabric softeners and dryer sheets. I would have never thought to ask someone to not use scented detergents (or softeners at all) but if I ever rent again that is #1 on the list.
When you left your sweater at my house, it was able to live inside the house until I returned it. I didn’t have to put it in the garage in plastic it’s mild.
Add me to the cannot handle scented detergent club. Walking down the detergent aisle at the grocery store is torture. When we moved into our last apartment in Chicago, the previous tenant had been using something SUPER stinky and I about gagged the first time I opened the washer. Vinegar did help though!
I personally don’t notice it much in public…I think it’s the stark contrast of some of my possessions being scented when the rest of my house is scent free, so I notice it more. Living with someone who loved scented everything was hard for me, because I get migraines from it after a while. But I think the outside world is much more scented than my home, so it all kind of blends together for me when I’m in public, haha.
I’ve been trying to see a specific PT in my city for over 6 months. She works with our community health center, so I was told I had to see an in house doctor to get a referral. So I made an appointment which was 5 months out (soonest they could get me in) and then they required me to switch everything to their health system just to have the appointment. 3 weeks after my appointment, where I specified the exact PT I wanted to be referred to, I received the referral and they referred me to my old PT, at a place that doesn’t even require referrals! WTF! I hate the medical system so so so much. Why would I switch everything over to a different doctor just to be referred outside of your system???
