My favorite is when she has to decide between her two soul mates because somehow the fate of the world is in their hands, but then you remember she’s MAYBE 18 years old and you just want to shake some sense into her.

Oh, just YA romance generally. Most recently the Mortal Instruments series, plus the prequels and sequels 
ETA - I’m not saying I still won’t read them, ha. My preferred mindless reading is some sort of fantasy romance/YA series (it needs Fae or time travel or magic or shape shifters or something) where I can read like 4 books in a week and not actually have to remember all of their names to enjoy it. At some point, though, I remember how COMPLETELY ridiculous the whole basis of the story is, and then I have to go read something else.

I already did 2 loads of washing today and the pile of dirty clothes has not changed in size at all. Also I have to hang dry everything because we don’t have a dryer, what silly chicken decided that?!

I’m in the kind of mood where I’m cranky because I want a choc chip cookie, and it would be beyond the height of unreason to ubereats one at 7PM, and also even if I wanted to I can’t get one.
I do have this tub of choc chips though.

My kids have been in school for two weeks now and have brought home a bug for both weekends. No covid yet, but so fun to play that testing game with kids who hate getting swabbed. And also being sick sucks and they’ve given it to all of us. Having kids in school is so great!
