Tiny Complaints

I stubbed my big toe on a weight that I left on the floor, and tore off 1/4 of my toenail. 10 min later I stubbed it on the bottom of my kitchen cabinets. This poor toe. It has a magnetic attraction to any and all things that can hurt it. I have broken it, bruised it, lost the nail more times than I can count and I guessing it’s going to fall off again after this. It’s not even longer than my other big toe! It just…runs into things!

Second TC. I was eating a salad kit that advertised itself as “Garlic cheddar”. Yum. Sounds great. But there was surprise cilantro in it. Why? If I’m going to be forced to eat cilantro I want to know about it. I expect it in salsa, and go into eating it knowing what I am going to experience. I do not want to be surprised with a giant stem of soapy bitterness in my salad bite.

Today I paid a total of $230 just to maintain the prescription I already have (the actual cost of the drugs are not included) and also take a drug test which I have to take every 6 months to prove I’m not illegally taking drugs. A lot of that cost was lyft because our car is in the shop. I paid $80 (before tip) EACH WAY. The roundtrip mileage was only 15 miles and now I’m in even more pain because the guy who drove me there was a horrendously bad driver, which is also the case like 9/10 in lyft here. So that’s fun. I understand most people aren’t frequent flyers with medical stuff but if things were set up for people who are…the system would also be more efficient for people with smaller and more intermittent issues. So dumb. I also have another telehealth for the exact same purpose in 3 months, and every three months for the rest of my life. And if I go for a few more PT sessions (which I pay for out of pocket, btw) and need more after that then I have to go into the office to the sports med guy to get a refilled prescription for that, which will be the second time I’ve had to do that for this round of rehab. God forbid I overdose on physical therapy. It’s literally all set up to have the most appointments possible and the additional costs (transit, husband taking off work) is the cherry on top. At least I pushed back on my PT who wanted to have 2 sessions this week. I literally just responded that I couldn’t do three medical appointments three days in a row and I’d just skip one this week, which was baffling to her, lol.

Not a tiny complaint at all. The cost of medical care, outside of the actual cost of meds/copays, etc is ridiculous. Being a frequent flyer is so expensive, in money, time and energy.

I also don’t understand needing a referral for PT you pay out of pocket for…that is so frustrating!

Hugs. That’s infuriating.

Husband has a magical ability that he thinks of something more to say within 30 seconds of me unpausing the TV. Doesn’t matter how long I’ve had it paused. It’s such a minor thing but he can literally do it 5 times in a row.

It’s so unseasonably hot that school is letting out 2 hours early on Wednesday and Thursday, since most of the elementary schools don’t have any air conditioning. :grimacing:

Some girls made fun of my 1st grader today because he has some pink in his tie-dye shirt.

WTAF, people? I’m so mad, and he won’t listen to me because he wants to fit in so badly.

Ok this is a truly tiny complaint, lol. There are two Indian places that deliver and are pretty good. One is called ekta indian cuisine and the other is called Ekta Indian Cuisine. One is a bit better, but the slightly better one has a slightly more narrow menu. Decisions…and confusion…

More annoying than anything else, but why do some ebay sellers ask $60+shipping for items that you can get for $50 new? There are plenty of cases where I’d be perfectly happy to buy used, but I can’t deal with the bad math (in this case I made an offer for a more reasonable price, but I have no expectation that it’ll be accepted)

Shipping is very expensive now, and often it’s calculated shipping costs based on box size/weight, so if you’re across the country the shipping costs are gonna seem insane but if it’s somewhere close by likely not bad at all.

I’m talking about $10 more than new prior to adding shipping…if it was just the shipping adding the extra I could at least understand it (even if I probably still wouldn’t buy it).

Other theory… they’ll ship internationally when other sellers won’t?

An Amazon return we made to Kohl’s got lost in transit and they’re trying to charge us for it.

Speaking of lost in transit, after Macy’s kindly re-sent a package UPS said they delivered that never arrived, UPS keeps failing delivery despite my wife being home and buzzing them in.
