Tiny Complaints

Also it is not that expensive to go to Paris. It seems like not going to Paris would be the irresponsible thing to do here.

Y’all are bad influences but I’m not even mad about it. If we had just a bit more saved for a house I might be really tempted, but I don’t know that the time is right…

But then again maybe I could convince my parents to come and we could split a rental flat and they could watch Bobbin while we go to the concert…

Now I’m thinking maybe I get us train tickets and a place to stay and we see them at MSG. May be cheaper than international travel.

He wanted to take time off after his test anyway and he gets back on Sunday night, the concert would be on Tuesday. I could potentially make this work if tickets aren’t crazy expensive.

We are just insisting that she spend in line with her personal values. A once in a lifetime opportunity to see a favourite band in a favourite city seems like a good choice for values.

My only regrets are the epic fun I skipped for boring reasons.

@Smacky & @Marcela will be happy to know that I have made a spreadsheet, earmarked 4 airbnb’s, priced train tickets, and texted the birthday boy to get his thoughts on New York.

Tickets go on sale in exactly 24 hours and if they’re around $300 total I can do the entire trip + food and of course a tshirt for ~$800. I was shooting for less than $1k so I feel good about that.

I STRONGLY APPROVE

Past Marcela missed out on plenty of super cool things because of money that got frittered away on dumb shit later. Current Marcela is now much better about not being such a stick in the mud.

You’re so right. Also, I just keep hearing H’s voice in my ear as I was sobbing on election night. He couldn’t think of any way to comfort me since we’d just elected such a terrible person and then he said “…well, punk is gonna get really good again. Maybe Rage will get back together…” and it was the only thing to make me feel even 1% better.

So we have to at least try to go.

Can this tiny complaint be easily remedied? Are you somehow trapped in an island without coffee?

My goddamn cough has now been around for over a month. The fact that my husbands has as well means it’s not even my asthma, so I can’t just go get steroids and deal with it. I’m guessing mild bronchitis. It’s bullshit, whatever the issue. Trying desperately NOT TO COUGH and wake up your infant is crap. Sleeping in the guest room is also crap.

Crap.

Gravity was stronger than I think it should have been today.

Another one. I don’t have many tops because I’m a different size than I was pre pregnancy (eta and cheap). All my tops currently have vomit on them. All. Of. Them. Waiting on laundry wearing my husbands hoodie. Bah.

Are all shirts “tops” ?

I’m confused by the question. Yes?

ETA all things that cover my upper body. Have vomit.

haha. Kay. “Top” as a shirt isn’t a common phrase in my region. Just. Shirts.

The way I use shirt it refers to T-shirt. Top applies also to sweaters, jackets, tank tops, literally everything that covers my upper body right now.
