Ooh colour bath sounds fun!!

Aha. You might be able to draw out the stain with dampened baking soda paste put on the stained area and allowed to dry. Maybe hydrogen peroxide or bleach to try to bleach it out. Sunlight also bleached out colors - so maybe intense light? It will probably fade over time on its own.

Or, a delightful pattern of these shapes in that area of the vanity to make it look intentional.

Sounds like a good first step to try, thank you.

It’s from Busy Toddler, which is a fantastic site when you have your own toddler to entertain. Some of the ideas are wasteful or just too American, but lots of them are perfect for low waste Aussie babies.

Sounds great, I’m going to make a note of it now for a couple years time

Not sure if you have it in Oz, but Soft Scrub with Bleach gets permanent hair dye stains out of shitty apartment bathtubs where the tub finish is wearing off… so I bet it’d work on food coloring too.

This has progressed from “spotting” to “actual period.” 2 weeks early. I’m on the pill! WTF! Stupid uterus.

Summary

If I am unable to have sex on my Hawaiian vacation due to unscheduled uterine shenanigans I am going to be Very Cross.

A tomato from our garden started to spoil and leaked onto our granite-top kitchen island and left a bit of a stain. That was one suggestion. My guess is that one application never gets all of it out on the first try.

Gentle scrub with toothpaste may work. Or a Mr Clean Magic Eraser (those this may affect the finish).

German. Sex. Sponge.
Or just live dangerously
But I’m assuming you know your likes and dislikes. So just order the sponge

I googled…beppy from the Netherlands and joy division. Cute lil pink things. They like to be called soft tampons. I like to call them German sex sponges

I… Think I’m gonna get some.

Highly recommended! I got three at our women’s sex store and definitely wished I’d bought more. Currently as irrelevant as the tampons in my purse. But always a good PSA.

Uh… do I dare google this?

ETA: I did google it and… stringless? That seems like a bad idea. That seems like a really embarrassing visit to the ER. Hrm.

I, uh, do need to visit our local “adult shop” before we leave to procure a small travel-sized thingy of lube. I wonder if one might find such things there? The staff is super great and open and answers all your embarrassing questions without making you feel any more awkward than you already do, haha.

Duck duck go struggled and clogged me down with sea sponges. But you can look up the two brand names on Amazon and start them shipping!

They come out really easily! If you’re worried you could sew on a string. It could be a craft project on the plane!

…I’ve never thought of getting a travel size bottle! Smart!

… If it’s a progressive indie store odds are good that they have them or know what you’re talking about. Apparently and logically they are popular with a range of sex workers, so if it’s the store that is super sex and worker positive odds go up. Odds go down for chain mega sex stores

My glass lunch container exploded in my hands right after I washed it today :frowning:

I only have a small cut, but I’m annoyed!

My roommate is Very Sick, and I feel really bad for her. She is up coughing all night and sounds really rough. I am sympathetic and but also terrified that I am going to get sick AGAIN this Winter, which would be the 4th time since November, and be more than 30 days total of being sick in the past 4 months. :weary:

I have stopped listening to almost all personal finance podcasts. I listen to podcasts pretty much all day every day and personal-finance used to be my main topic but I got really sick of the pretentious tone of many of them.
I decided to look up one of the podcasts I used to listen to and catch up on a recent episode.
About five or ten minutes in the guest was telling their backstory and in a very dramatic tone stated that their husband “was working full-time and only making $15 an hour because, as you know, without a degree you just don’t make very much money – so our income was low”.

I don’t mean to argue with this person‘s experience, as experience is tremendously subjective AND relative to every situation… but… $15/hr?

They went on to explain that they were also working full-time for about that hourly wage … so roughly…50-60k/year combined. They kept talking about making 50-60k as their troubling, sad, and meager ‘before’ essentially in a before and after.

They just kept calling their family “low income” and I think I have learned my lesson again about personal finance podcasts…

That sucks. $15 an hour is about the maximum anyone in my wife’s field is likely to make. I lost my mind with how much money I was making when I made it into the double digits/hr. Viewpoints on this stuff are so broken.

My field is ridiculous. We had a thing happen that needed maintenance, and my team (who had already put in a full day) had to work from 9. PM to 5 am to fix it because heaven forbid someone lose access to email for 3 minutes. I’m now on the warpath with people outside our dept angrily demanding to know where my people are and why they aren’t coming in until 10 am.

Because I said they could sleep until they felt safe to drive. That’s why. Come at me.
