While I am technically always disabled some days I feel capable and can get things done, even if they are just things I do from bed.
Today is not one of those days. Today I have a short list of simple tasks and none of them are going to happen.

I think my post partum recovery plan is way more optimistic about my starting capacity than it has the right to be. I even delayed starting it two and a half weeks after their dates. They think a 6 week PP woman can do this???

Ooh, I’m just getting into Critical Role on the recommendation of other members of my D&D party. Only a few episodes in though and listening in podcast form. I’m sorry you don’t have time to play. I do remote (We’re scattered across the east coast) and man is scheduling a pain, but I love it.

Thanks @Marcela you are probably right. This guy is actually really nice IRL, like I like him as much as I can like someone in a triggering situation, lol. It helps to hear rationality from someone who also deals with a lot of this though, he is probably just busy.

I know for my docs, it usually takes a day or two for them to get back, and even then they seem to respond to messages in the late afternoon. You’re fine, though I totally understand the feeling of “oh fuck”

To be fair, he might be busy pooping so we don’t know that @AllHat necessarily skipped over that part.
I find it helps me handle this sort of situation with a high power imbalance to imagine the person who is holding power over me doing something extremely human.

Tiny complaint but victory - poor cat had her dentistry done today and 3 teeth pulled. Poor baby! The complaint parts - $1800 for the bill and she peed herself so she stinks and won’t let me clean her.
At least the vet gave me the canine tooth that was pulled to show SO what $1800 is worth. I may put a price sticker on the bottle and put it on the mantel.
But! At least she is not in pain, as it was quite infected on both sides and had some nerve exposure we could not see. And another victory - she hit 8 lbs!! This is a big deal as she has been quite underweight.
