Tiny Complaints

Oof. Well, she was doing what she thought was right at least. :heart_eyes_cat:

Thank you for doing that.

The UPS driver who delivers at one of my clinic brags about it, and says that if they wrote down the buzzer code without buzzing, they can’t be disciplined. I can’t say anything or hit him while I’m at work… But maybe my dirty look would do more if I was brute sized.

I do complain to retailers, and won’t order from them if they use ups or Fed ex. But it seems like as a person who can’t drive, I’m just limiting my options. This package is a courtesy paper copy of an ebook I bought, but where the tables aren’t displaying well on my kindle. So it’s costing the author a lot of time and money for fed ex to be lying assholes

Well, it took me until Thursday of the first 5-day workweek in… geez, I don’t recall, before I totally hit the wall and couldn’t focus and want to put my head down and sleep.

Also, InDesign is doing something dumb and while I know how to fix it, I want to know WHYYYYYY it’s doing it and I can’t figure it out and I don’t have time to obsess over it but blargh.

I feel like I keep buying my cats toys, but I have no idea where they all go.

Under the appliances (stove, fridge).

Under the couch. In our bed. In their water dish.

In the closet, if there is space between the door and the floor.

In the bathtub

When I lived with my brother, it wasn’t until a year after I moved out that his GF found where their cats had been hiding all my hair ties in a purse she wasn’t using up in their closet. I went through SO many hair ties the months I lived with them. Cats are sneaky.

I forgot to run the dishwasher last night during cheap electricity.

What is this?

My electricity supplier charges less during lower use hours and more during peak hours, much like Uber. This is because usage varies over the day but they have to output the same amount constantly, so it’s better for them if we shift our use.

This requires a bit of backstory: My FIL dropped some gifts at our house a few days before Christmas. Large packages for D and the wiggler, a tiny little box for me. The box had an amazon logo on it. On Christmas Eve, we opened the boxes. Good gifts for D and the wiggler, but my box was empty. FIL apologized and asked for our address so he could send me a replacement.

A few days ago he came by the house and gave D a new gift card (I was at work). It is for TJ Max/Marshall’s/Home Goods. I was excited until today I realized it was meant to be the replacement for my amazon gift card.

It’s not like amazon is my top choice ever for gift cards but nobody gave me any books for Christmas and I wanted to order myself some books.

Ohhh that’s intriguing. Reminds me of when you could get on the phone after peak hours and make calls less expensively.

You can exchange a tj maxx gift card on cardpool for an amazon one if you want to still turn that gift into books!

My bank doesn’t recognize that I have an account when I call the automated system or attempt to access online. Their customer service isn’t awake yet. I have a concern.
