Sending you love.
It’s-20 or colder and my bigger kid is living up to teenaged stereotypes, refusing to dress for the weather. He won’t wear boots, hat, scarf, mitts, long underwear, sweater. He Will, however, complain about the cold.
Ughhhhh strangers causing a ton of stress and lost sleep is the worst!
My cuticles are disintegrating. All of them.
Late night bus service in Portland. The bars are open until 2, why are my only options at 1 a.m. or 3 AM?
My kid got me up before the alarm because he didn’t know what time the bus came. He has a phone identical to mine, with which I looked up bus times. He could have done this yesterday. What the hell, kid.
I have a reputation for the excessive quantity of dried legumes in my possession. This morning I went to soak the beans for tomorrow’s chili and there was less than a cup of black beans.
Has this ever happened before? I don’t think it has. I’m all shook up. Like if Elvis ran out of black beans.
I stayed up too late last night and then couldn’t fall asleep at all and ended up laying in bed for like 4 hours and then finally did fall asleep and woke up stupid late this morning and now my sleep schedule is all fucked up again. Plus I am tired.
Its snowing.
I have a cold and sore throat and fresh pineapple is burning more than usual.
I got the most beautiful piece of cedar, but according to internet ettiquete it’s rude to send people unsolicited pictures of my wood.
No stick pics…
I would like to solicit a picture of your wood please.
I haven’t actually taken any because my phone’s camera sucks. I just love a good dick joke.
My annual Christmas party seems to have fallen apart this week. of the 15 invitees, as of today 10 have had to bow out. Pretty bummed about it. I’m trying not to take it personally but I am.
I’m bored.
This is not a tiny complaint. This is more of a moderately sized complaint. Or a rant. There is one particular person in my Buy Nothing group that comes across as extraordinarily rude. Like, they respond to postings like this:
“want”
“location?” (without any previous interaction, just where are you - my BN area is pretty small (maybe 2 miles in diameter))
This really, really bothers me. Most people are kind and respectful, say please and thank you, express themselves in at least partial sentences, express excitement over seeing something they like or want. This person comes across as greedy and impatient. I feel like this makes me a bad person for feeling this way, but could you at least be bothered to be polite? I don’t feel inclined to give this person anything.
I’m also bored. It’s so sloooooooooow today.
Also, apparently “women” have been complaining to the president of my country about their inefficient dishwashers. Because, you know, it’s women who know about such things. ((barf))
I would 100% feel the same.
This one may just be me being a level 11 introvert, or a mean grump more likely, but… My neighbors always come outside and try to talk to me when I’m clearly rushing to do a project.
Today I was literally sprinting from the rear yard shed back to the house to grab things to mount a motion sensor light and I could hear them peeking out their screen doors, and one talking loudly to their dog to signal my attention. On my two unfenced sides (want full fence).
NO.
I have 120 minutes between appointments. 60 for this project and 60 to relax + walk dog + eat. Grumble Grumble.
