If I’m looking something up but I don’t want the algorithm to make it follow me forever, I look at whatever the thing is in a private browser. Like earlier I was trying to find specific socks and I searched Amazon on a private browser, found something I liked, copied a clean link over to my regular browser that had my cart already logged in, and added it that way.
I might still get ads about socks but this way it will only “see” me looking at it for less than a minute instead of the ten minutes I spent sifting through options so it thinks there’s less benefit in showing me more sock ads.

You know what though, all the ads are for gorgeous gothy eyewear that is also flimsy and not right for my life - but I am not minding the eye candy at all even though I don’t intend to buy any.
Sure as fuck beats hearing more about my blly ft all day long! (Shhhh, don’t wanna wake that particular algorithm!)

I pay $200 for a 30 min session and get all the digitals, in Los Angeles. My source is the local moms fb group. Generally semi-professional photographers who are also SAHMs, and very good with kids.
The photographer I use doesn’t do much editing after the session - she just picks out the best 50 or so and sends them. I prefer that to heavily touched up photos honestly.

There is a 55 inch TV being opened in my house. It is too big. Stupid big. And also who opens an electronic in a house with an awake 4/6yo and no plans for where it will go?
(This would be a bigger complaint except I kind of knew it was happening and it also happened with fake work money)

That’s wild! Last fall we did a session with shoott.com after seeing an IG ad. Do they have any locations near you? Our photographer was a former teacher and was amazing with the kids. The gallery is free and you only pay about $30-40 per digital you want to keep, or $250 for all of them. I think we got like 50 shots and they were all so good, we ended up getting the full gallery.
