My bottom teeth are becoming more crooked and are hitting my top teeth and I don’t like it. But I don’t particularly want to wear or pay for braces.

Have you ever heard of geographic tongue? This might be your problem, but I truly hope not because it’s pretty annoying and I’ve found no cure.

I had not! I googled it and thankfully it doesn’t seem to be my problem. This is a tiny, tiny spot, like I got jabbed with a sewing needle. I can see a teensy blister or something.
And my tiny complaint is that it still hurts.

I get those when my immune system is on the fritz. It’s like a canker sore, but on the tongue. They are miserable.

Yesterday I finally talked myself into writing a document I didn’t want to, that i’ve been putting off for a month. Got 3 hours worth of work done. I guess I didn’t save it, and the unannounced updated IT pushed overnight nuked the auto-save that I depend on. Dumb.

Very few baby data trackers (so, tracking feeds diapers weight etc) sync between users. This strikes me as really messed up, and probably fundamentally sexist. Assuming only one person will be caring for the baby.

On that theme, last year kiddo’s class used an app called Class Dojo. It was a fantastic way for the teachers to share what was going on in the classroom and communicate with parents, but only the teacher to one parent. There was not a way to do teacher and multiple parents/caregivers, which meant that I then had an extra step of relaying everything to my husband to not exclude him accidentally.
This year the school isn’t even using that. Due to staffing issues at the beginning of the year and IT delays, kiddo has a teacher now but her information isn’t updated on the staff page so I don’t know what her email address is (it used a middle initial so I can’t even guess at it). That does remind me there’s another thing I could check but I think it’s more for grades and attendance, not sure if there’s a messaging function.

It is very cold. (9c/48f) I added a blanket to my bed, then put on a sweater, then truly caved and closed the window.

Follow up for your amusement - yesterday kiddo’s class was learning about the letter D. They would all suggest things that started with the letter D and then the teacher would draw it on the board.
Guess what word my child suggested.
Teacher is lovely and just rolled with it, she said “Uh, I don’t know how to draw that so let’s do a different word” then laughingly related the story above to us this morning at drop off.

I think my period is starting earlier than anticipated and I’m getting a cold. I gargled with salt water per @Smacky and my throat feels better but my ear hurt for a little while.
On the bright side, the tongue thing went away.
