Tiny Complaints

Does the League of Women Voters offer a voting guide?

Not much, unfortunately…some commentary on the state issues and a recording of various mayoral candidates, but not much otherwise that I’m seeing. Ballotpedia has a little more than the county book did, but for a couple things it’s just kind of best guessing.

We’re 745 and 601, which sounds like not a big difference and yet it’s a huge difference.

We’re 7:57 and 6:52, but mountains cut into that a lot so you have more twilight.

But only 55 days until solstice!

I have to complete my first aid recertification and it will take two 9am-6 pm days!! On a weekend!! 45 minutes away! I’m grumbly about both those things.

TV- I don’t have to pay (or I pay very little) for the cert and they pay me to take it. But still!!!

Pet peeve: When marketing photos for fitness supplies (resistance bands in this case) show the person using them with absolutely terrible form. Maybe it’s just Photoshopping to make the glutes look like they’re popping, but sheesh.

The sun came up at 7:27 this morning. I need to leave the house at 7:10 by bike or bus 6 days/week and I cannot wait for the end of DST this weekend.

Someone has been using my phone# in their housing search, and I’m getting texts and calls trying to schedule tours.

Yeah NL/EU has their daylight savings a week ahead of USA! So we had ours already. You’ll get there soon.

Time zones are so weird? That’s almost exactly our current sunrise/sunset before daylight savings

Partner’s school always has a term break the last week of October so we’ve been on vacation somewhere in Europe during the week of the time change for 3 out of the past 4 years and this is the first year it hasn’t caught us totally off guard. One year we didn’t realize the clocks had changed until like 4 days later lol

Confusingly Egypt also changes the clocks around this time of year but not really on a regular schedule so sometimes it has been before we travel and sometimes after getting back. This year they’re changing on October 31 which I am pretty sure I will forget

Ugh my state’s insurance commissioner has approved an almost 28.6% increase for ACA plans. Fuck.

Not liking that.

My current plan would be $441 without subsidy with that increase. Definitely couldn’t afford that. Really worried about the cost for next year now.

My current plan for the whole family (two adults, one kid) is $659 but without any tax credit it is $1,578 so I guess I’ll just plan on our health insurance costing that much come January because Florida.

The 4:50 shuttle does not exist. I am waiting for the 5:05 shuttle instead :frowning: This puts me at home around 6:20. This is why I need to quit this job!!!

Intense family drama seeks to derail the holidays again this year. This shit sucks.

Stay on your meds, fam.

Also. Being the bigger person sucks. I’m really, REALLY good at verbally eviscerating people. And god does this person deserve it. But I’m gonna be all mature and shit

You can eviscerate them by proxy here - anonymously of course!

Alas, all my best vitriol is very specific. Can’t destroy someone utterly unless you work from the inside out :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
