Many years ago, there was a knitting publication with a vest pattern I fell in love with. The publication went under and I was sad. Then a year or two ago I saw that the designer had made it available as a single pattern and got all excited and bought yarn for it. Today I was thinking about starting a swatch for it and went to the Ravelry pattern page… only to find none of the designer’s patterns are available anymore. I need to learn to buy or download patterns when they’re available and not wait until I’m ready to knit them!

chrome isn’t going to update again because apple isn’t supporting my machine any more so I can’t get new OS updates

Kiddo’s school like to do a fun end of year thing*, often at a trampoline park kind of place. I realized at the last one we went to (a couple years ago) that instead of paying for one outing, for only a couple bucks more we could get the membership to go as much as we wanted over a month. That location shut down and so the school is using another one run by another company.
TC: This company is smart enough to put a six month minimum on the memberships instead of letting me dip out after just a month or two which would’ve been great for having an indoor play place in the depths of summer.
*The PTA also gets a share of the proceeds

I’m so mad at all these all-hands meetings at work telling us we need to be doing our best work right now due to increased scrutiny while at the same time budgets are being cut drastically and we’re losing telework.
I mean, the budgets and telework thing is out of our control but i’m mad about the pressure to “do our best work” because I’m a ball of anxiety right now which is not conducive to best work, and I’m in a much much more fortunate financial and logistical position that many of my coworkers.

It’s pouring rain here today and dog was fighting me about potty time so I decided we could wait a few more minutes.
Cat subsequently startled the dog and the dog, who had apparently been holding it, peed all over the couch when startled (pretty much only on couch cover however, buy a trickle did get on my beloved yoga bolster 
).

gross bug complaint
I have been trying to teach myself that house centipedes are good bugs to have around because they eat bad bugs but having a giant leggy one appear INSIDE THE CONTAINER OF CHIPS I AM EATING FROM
