Xfinity had a glitch and didn’t apply the promotional contract rate I signed up for. I’ve been on chat with this guy for at least half an hour going in circles. He finally seems to have realized what happened and I think he’s going to fix it? I’m not convinced that he’ll do it right though, he has to do some extra stuff with credit adjustments.
He also said increased taxes and fees are going to add $40/month in the near future?! That sounds insane, I don’t know if that number is true.

I can’t see any proof of his updates but he said he applied a monthly credit adjustment plus a one-time adjustment for this month’s bill. The chat transcript that I downloaded only has his side of the conversation and not mine?! I took a screenshot of one section.
He also said it was so nice that I was patient and cooperative. I think a lot of people probably get frustrated and abusive

This kind of nonsense is why when Comcast/Xfinity asked what they could do to keep my business when I was in the process of switching (as soon as a local fiber option was available and even though it was an increase in costs if not by a lot) my answer was “Go back in time and be a decent company”. Obviously I acknowledge that it’s not the individual customer service person’s issue or anything that they have any power to fix, but the company itself has a history of being so predatory that I don’t think there’s much hope of saving it at this point.

Work gutted their matching donation program for ‘our choice’ donations, which is bad enough, but I just contributed to one of their ‘special match’ cases (the ones that are supposed to pull from the company pot rather than our choice) and they screwed it up and deducted from both, so I basically have $0 match funds left for the local organizations of my choice. Emails out to both the processor and the company department who runs the donation program, but experience says they suck at actually fixing problems.
