I had the bed to myself last night so it should have been ideal but my body was like nah, full princess and the pea mode. There was a crumb that was under me but evaded being swept away by hand twice. I was too tired hot so I shed a blanket, then the air came on and I was too cold - the comfortable temp range just cannot be that narrow, body, c’mon. Just ugh. Such bullshit.
I hate when that happens!!
There is thick frost on the ground.
My kid wants to blast the Neverending Story theme song at 7 am.
Both these complaints are terrible.*
*Neverending Story and its theme are great, but not blasted and not at 7 am.
No 80s synth pop before noon. Thems the rules.
I am trying to make plans with someone but they are not replying to my calls/texts so far. I even called because I thought it would work better for planning!
We preordered our meals for Scoot (Singapore Airlines budget airline) two days ago and I was notified that there have been some changes and substitutions.
My Nasi Lemak was changed to satay. But Nasi Lemak is still on the menu, they changed the Indonesian rice to Nasi Lemak. Why didn’t they just change the Indonesian rice to satay and then leave my Nasi Lemak alone?!
My legs have developed weird aches. Frequently in the middle of the night and so painful it wakes me up. A couple of nights ago it woke me up at midnight, 1, and 3 am. The next day I thought about it and took an asprin with my dinner. That worked. But, of course, I haven’t remembered it since. It’s 12: 30 a.m. and guess what got me out of bed 30 minutes ago?
Boo Hiss!
Sometimes, being old just sucks.
Unsolicited Medical Advice
Two different family members have had blood clots this year (deep vein thrombosis) and their main complaint was leg pain in the middle of the night and legs feeling very heavy… followed by shortness of breath after some time and hospital stays. Both were ok but if this is new it might be worth mentioning to a doctor and/or keeping an eye on your blood oxygen levels.
the new / probably not actually new trend I’m noticing in YouTube videos is people not just editing out pauses or breaths (that’s defo not new lol and I do it too) but slightly overlapping the end of one sentence/clause with the start of the next sentence/clause, so there’s NEGATIVE empty space.
I dislike it.
Thanks!
is that a tiktok thing?
I was just listening to a newbie youtuber who hadn’t edited out the involuntary tongue clicks (I’m sure there is a formal term for this - obviously not a linguistic click) and it reminded me of how annoying it was to clean that all up when I was posting.
My car and house insurance went up 20%. I recognize that it’s $60 a month but still not impressed. SO said it’s still way cheaper than the quotes he was getting when we were shopping around.
I bought eggnog tonight. There was no price tag. It was $6.12. Good thing it’s a short season.
TV is that I have eggnog.
When using the Instant Pot I always forget about the time for it to come to pressure and the time for natural release. I’m making ropa vieja with a 3 pound roast but I cut it up to get it to fit into the pot, the recipe says 90 minutes pressure cook. I meant to have dinner actually ready in 90 minutes and spent way too long video gaming. Whoops.
Fourth Toy Story movie just doesn’t hit
3 things to complain about.
- Something tweaked on the inside of my knee in class N.S. now it’s bugging me.
- I put cool water in a hot glass pan and it exploded on the counter and the floor. Everyone was safe!
- I washed the key fob for my mom’s Lincoln in the laundry. I don’t think it’s going to work ever again.
