Full depth shelves with baskets for small things but the lowest shelf is above the vacuum height?

This!

This shelf is lower but I no longer lose things in the back now that this long, narrow container serves as a drawer.

Seconded on difficulty reaching into deep, tightly spaced shelves. Deep shelves can work, esp with containers, drawers, or for deeper things (bath towels, blankets). But it’s very dependent.

Another way to optimize the half depth shelves is to hang things from the wall (maybe the baby carrier?)

Another thing to maybe consider, is this closet usable to the older kids? Like can they reach/get a towel or the first aid supplies if they need them? Disregard if their linens live elsewhere.

LOL, they can reach but things fall down

I love the narrow long y weave baskets for this reason. Small deep storage. Works great for toys too.

Thank you all for the advice! The Boy has tentatively agreed to build me some more shelves. He also wants to extend the existing shelves to make them full depth, which will be even easier (the supports are already there so it’s just laying down a board).

I have been waiting 2 years for him to clean the oven but I think I have conveyed the urgency

Before

After. The storage tub might move to another spot, or not. The fake leaves are waiting for a chest that has a Christmas display on it to get cleared off, then it goes into the chest. On top of the storage tub are done things to get returned. Some of the cardboard is getting turned into a kid project as I type.

So that you don’t have to sign up for an email list to also get this lol. In case anyone is interested.

Dang it, I didn’t think to take before and after pictures. Anyway, I decluttered a bunch of Christmas decor and stuff and reorganized and condensed and I’m pretty pleased to have tidied the disaster that was all that. I’m down to two storage tubs and two ornament boxes. Which is still a lot, admittedly, but there used to be four storage tubs.

photos don’t do it justice, but I sprayed the vent hood, the wall behind the stove, and the lip on the back of the stove, and it was super easy and all the dust and grease just wiped off beautifully. So satisfying, and something I’d been putting off because I thought it was going to be a pain.

I used Method - the only commercial spray that doesn’t trigger my hands or headaches for me. Unfortunately they don’t do the unscented any more. (Discovered it on the work freebie table a decade ago, and I’ve stayed pretty loyal - we still haven’t used all the other all purpose cleaners I got at that job, but Method has been purchased several times)

The messy middle! You’ve got this!

I can use some of the method scents similarly headache and respiratory misery free! The bright green stuff, lime? Is the strongest kitchen degreaser I’ve found that doesn’t bother me.

we have pink grapefruit at the moment because that was what was available in the refill size, but I will keep an eye out for the lime.
