Does anyone know when my period started last or when I ovulated? I think I calculated May 5 for the 10dpo but maybe I can pee sooner?

Protip: pee every day.

(I do know what you meant, but pedantry is my humor.)

I recently switched from the fertility friend app to premom and I am doing really well with temping and peeing on sticks this cycle and we timed GOF really well so now I’m in the TWW phase. :crossed_fingers:

I’m really liking the app a lot.

Although I did have a 12 day luteal phase, so that’s… slightly better haha

Someone please help, I’m dumb. How do I use an ovulation test strip?

The first time I tried to pee on it, which didn’t work. The second time I dipped it in pee so it was below the max line, but it looked all smeared. Did I oversaturate it?

Cant even pee on a stick properly…

I used to pee in a cup and hold the stick in the pee right up to the line until the dye starts moving. Then lay the stick down flat and wait. It will look smeared at first but should clear up closer to the 3 minute mark. I hope that helps! Good luck!

Thank you! I couldn’t find directions so I was just guessing.

Yeah, dip until the “liquid begins to rise” is how most are phrased. Then lay flat, the test will tell you how long- 3 or 5 min are most common. For reading, it is NOT like a pregnancy test. It’ll always be a “little positive”- there will always be a light second line. For ovulation, you want it as strong or stronger than the control line.

Hope that helps

Eta and you’ll generally Ovulate 12-48 hours after. The idea for baby making is to have sex ASAP after the positive test. You want the sperm in place already by the time the egg is released, and it takes a bit for them to get there.

This threw me off at first and I had instructions! Don’t feel bad, @Greyweld :slightly_smiling_face:

It gets even more wild for some people (like those with super long undefined cycles and/or recent loss) because LH and hcg can cross react. It is a bitch and a half for people who have super slow hcg drop after a loss and it’s cross reacting with their LH tests!

Hormones and tests are weeiiiiird.

Usually a little positive. Mine frequently isn’t visible at all unless I’m getting close. I’ll take a picture in the bathroom of my instructions @greyweld

I swear I sent the booklet!
