Why can’t I start a journal? Is it because I just joined the site? The create topic button is greyed out.

Oh weird. I wonder if you need to interact a little more on the site. A year ago we had some issues with someone in the journals and I know @anomalily made some changes.

I checked the trust levels and it doesn’t say anything about restrictions to creating a journal. It looks like I can create a topic in all the other categories.
