Based on further discussion, I think you do not need my design input. You gotta do you. I say be more thoughtful on the rug choice because it is more expensive…the tapestries can be switched out a couple times before they cost as much as a rug (I assume).

Here they are in terrible light! Current bedspread is just pink. The other one is a tasteful flower pattern on white with purple, lime green, pink, orange….

Thinking about my dining room now. I can’t wait until I can get in there and take pics to show y’all. The ones I have are all from the real estate listing and I don’t want to put up pics that are easy to google search and show my address. But if I know you, or you have even just been around here for a while, I would be willing to DM pictures.
My dining room is a small square that will have 2 big storage pieces in it - an oak Hoosier Cabinet on the wall next to the kitchen opening and a large dark wood storage piece that will take up most of the back wall. The 3rd wall is taken up by a floor to ceiling window. I am considering placing a small rectangular glass dining room table against the window and getting 2 acrylic chairs. Flash Furniture on Amazon makes really heavy duty chairs and they have acrylic chairs rated for 700 lbs. I am not 700 lbs, but I HATE chairs that become wobbly over time, and acrylic chairs look very delicate.
My current dining room chairs are from them and rated at 500 lbs and they are solid.
I mean, if I had a larger dining room I would go for wood or metal in the middle of the room, but this room is really small and a lot of visual space is taken up by big pieces.

ooh i am always on the lookout for beautiful heavy duty chairs cause i have a heavy duty behind. 15 inches is a really narrow seat width, so they probably wouldn’t work for me but if you get some, let us know how comfy they are!

This is another style, same manufacturer, that might have a wider seat. I can’t tell bc the dimensions don’t make sense to me - it says 23” wide with a seat width of 13”. I mean, I guess each arm may go out 5”. And I swear this one has a 700lb rating, too, but now I can’t find it. Very annoying. In general, though, if you look up the Flash furniture Hercules style, it is great. I have dining chairs from them (wood seat with metal chair) and they are very comfortable.
