Thanks! Never dyeing your hair is definitely the easier way to go! I think I will love it once the color grows out completely which I think will take at least another year.

I’ve been thinking about playing with eyeshadow a bit this summer. I haven’t played with eyeshadow in forever, and actually don’t own any right now. I have a few eye crayons, but no regular shadows.
Therefore, my questions: eyeshadow primers and eyeshadow setting sprays/powders.
I have relatively deep set eyes and am apparently an oily little gremlin. Powder eyeshadow is very patchy on me after about an hour. Cream shadow stays well on the edges of the lid, but disappears in the crease. Eye crayons do a little bit better in the crease, but still not amazing lasting power – they won’t last the workday, really.
That being said, I’ve never used a primer or setting spray, which I suspect could help.
Thoughts? Recommendations?

I have a non eye specific primer/setting spray from wet and wild and I think it’s as good as premium was a few years ago. I remember premium eye primer used to be super beige and matte and make eyeshadow hard to apply. YMMV

Agree with Elle. I’m not doing anything too wild, but regular face primer on my eyelids has worked totally fine.

I’ve gotten toner the last couple of times I had a haircut and it makes so much difference. It’s been 6 months and I’m super happy with the color of my natural hair. Now if it would just grow a foot in the next few months that would be great.

Has anyone used Boots No7 range? I have a drugstore coupon and I think I’ll get their daycream with SPF for a daily sunscreen… but I also have 2 sunscreens I want to try from Sephora

I have a consultation booked for next week with a new hairdresser. My coworker who is a former hairdresser says she is the best in our small town for color, and teaches it as well. Worth a shot I guess. My hairdresser has toned me a couple of times(which helps but doesn’t last) and keeps saying that she has a plan, but I’m just not at all happy with the golden color I keep ending up with a week after being toned. She told me last time that “maybe next time she will tone me darker more like my roots.” Well… why didn’t you just do that this time and not wait? Of course I’m way too passive to say that but I definitely thought it! Ha.

I’ve added more steps to my skincare and want to hype them up even more! Dr. Jart Soothing Hydra Solution sheet masks and goodal heartleaf calming mineral sunscreen.
The sunscreen is so thin you don’t get a white cast and you don’t feel it! So you can do your full skincare underneath. I ditched the retinal and am using a peptide and HA serum from the ordinary plus my skinfix moisturizer and I just look like me! Not tired meno me- og me. Especially with concealer.

It was on my list! I was going to test it at Sephora. But then I visited my parents and their grocery store had so much K beauty and this sunscreen was on clearance for $5.99 (expires end of September so after I tried it for a few days my dad went back and got me another 2 and him an unknown number). I will happily pay full price for this when I run out!

I have a new stylist, I’m very excited. She teaches color and is very informed on gray blending. She was a bit horrified at the story I told her about my old one. She said the lowlights/base color are absolutely the wrong color for my natural and the fact that I went back 3 times over 6 months and she still couldn’t get it right is not acceptable. I have an appointment for a cut and color next Wednesday.
