I don’t now but I had to when I was pregnant. Because brushing my teeth while pregnant made me gag and gagging and coughing while pregnant meant I’d pee on myself. And then I’d have to get back in the shower! I temporarily solved that problem by moving teeth brushing to the shower and permanently solved it by no longer being pregnant. I can cough without wetting myself these days, hallelujah! Stupid Relaxin. Being pregnant is a ridiculous way to live. I’m glad I’m not an elephant.

Not alone, I keep my face dry throughout the shower, simply by facing away from the water flow. I am average height, so unless I change the angle of the showerhead, the water flow os mostly neck / shoulder height anyway.

Or the episode where he put a garbage drain the shower drain and made salad in the shower!

Whaaaaat. It took me years as a child/young teen to learn to stick my face under the water without flinching and you’re telling me it is possible to live one’s life without actually doing that?! Mind blown.

What is your method for washing your face? I wash my face twice a day so I wash it outside the shower too, and I always feel like I’m doing it inefficiently.

First I take a washcloth and dampen it with super hot water. I steam that over my face for a few seconds. Then I either use disposable wipes (shea moisture brand) so I don’t have to bend over the sink or I use argan oil for cleansing, which I apply with my fingers and then rinse off. I also use exfoliation (oil and brown sugar) every once in a while when I feel like I need it, and I have to be super careful not to get that in my hair or I have to do a whole re-wash, haha. Plus I’ll do an occasional honey mask too.

Do you rinse with the washcloth too?

Yep! I just wet it again and softly wipe.

That’s pretty much what I do so I guess I’m on the right track!

You are a fancy lady of leisure and style.

I wipe my face with a wet washcloth, on days I remember, or maybe cup water in hands and splash face. That is the whole sum of my face washing.

I’ve waited my whole life for someone to say that to me. Swishes skirt and waltzes away, inexplicably holding a croquette mallet.

ETA: Hahahaha. and I just realized that’s the food spelling not the sport spelling. I’m keeping it.

But how do you take off your make up!

Oil is the best makeup remover! Plus a warm wet washcloth

colorful washcloths are a good solution here.

oil cleansing with a washcloth is the only way i can wash my face outside the shower – if i just try to rinse at the sink, i’m 100% gonna get the floor all wet. sometimes i see commercials where someone is rinsing their face in a sink without making a mess and it may as well be wingardium leviosa to me.

related: almost 50, still cant wash dishes without getting my front wet.

Oil cleansing sounds very relaxing. Maybe I just bleach my washcloths every now and then.

I take it off with argan oil or olive oil and cotton pads if I’m wearing a full face (super rare, like maybe 6 times a year). Usually my makeup is minimal enough that I can do it with a face wipe/wet washcloth. And my washcloths are light blue- they don’t look stained and I’ve had them for 3+ years!

ETA: Oh and lest you all think I have super powers, haha, I 100% get water all over the counter when I wash my face. I keep a small towel in my bathroom just for cleaning up and I use it daily. Also there is hair everywhere at all times. Sometimes I feel like I spend my entire day picking stray hairs off of my body. Have big curly hair, they said, it’ll be fun, they said.

I have a tinted bb cream because chemical sunscreen feels itchy. So it’s daily. But good to know! Ty.
