New Pup helpfully pulls mine down, flings it around, then burrows in it
Not my pet, but I love a Beag.
I just spent like 20 minutes trying to catch this girl and in the process tossed about half of my lunch (now I’m hungry) out toward her to bring her closer, but she was 110% sass and -10% catchable.
Her owners finally came out of their house to get her (I guess she slips the fence sometimes).
What a very bratty very very cute pup.
Your kitty does look a lot like my kitty !
Lap kitty is officially settled in! I loved it when mine decided to be a lap kitty.
I see you have installed a convenient cat-stacking device.
Your kittens are no longer smol!!
They’re so big But they’re still sweet and snuggly so there’s just more of them to cuddle with.
Halp, I want more bread and cheese but am trapped by cat casually draped across my lap.
The Derp really wanted the goat cheese. I gave him a tiny bit. I hope he doesn’t get diarrhea!
I just caught these dorks playing with a toy together (it’s in the middle of them if you look closely).
My heart is full.
- also pup thinks she is in trouble for playing, that’s why she’s hunching. We’ve been working on this for years, my sweet nervous girl you are allowed to play!!
And self-organizing cats…
Today my husband installed a fence inside the dog’s fence, limiting him to an area that’s nearly flat and about 800 square feet just off the end of the porch nearest his dog door. Most of the rest of his area is sloped, and he can’t handle the hill or any real distance reliably. This should mean he can take himself out to pee safely, though. He’ll probably feel safer in his double fence; he’s smart enough to figure out it’s going to be even harder for coyotes to get to him. And his little plastic wading pool that he loves and has had his whole life is in there. Husband’s improvised a gate so we can get to the rest of the area, but we haven’t told the dog.
I’m torn between sad about the dog and his decline, and happy that we can do this for him (with fencing we already had, so nothing spent but effort).
And this will make it easier for my husband to go up to the barn when I’m at work - it’s up the hill outside the fence and the dog was trying to follow him inside the fence, and he really can’t.
Hugs.
It really is hard. I just bought an orthopedic dog bed for my pup because her bad leg has been bothering her and she’s a velcro dog who likes to go lay down, then get up and follow me, then go lay down, then get back up to follow me (and repeat).
I know that feeling, torn between feeling happy you can do these things for them, but sad about the reality of it all. <3
Thanks for building a little yard sanctuary for your pup.
