In Doggo’s case, I think it is her cattle dog genes (she’s a cattle dog X) - being velcro to one person not in a super traditional way, which results in most frequently wanting to keep an eye on things (including me) but from across the room or yard, so she can keep an eye on everything else as well. My sister had a cattle dog X who was the exact same way.

My old guy went outside at 2:00 in the morning to bark and bark and bark, defending the house. This is the first time he’s gone out to bark my himself in several months. Yesterday I put out some solar state lights so he would not have to go out to pee in total darkness. Coincidence? I think not. My 160 pound great Dane is scared of the dark.

(Doggo also love love loves salmon. Like, so much. I think it is her favorite food thing. I should eat more salmon so I can give her more salmon. :joy:)

@MonkeyJenga @katscratch Honestly 90% of the time it’s eggs, 9% of the time it’s salmon jerky, the rest of the time it’s all that other BS we have to eat to be “well rounded”. Lol.
