The internet is full of pictures of dogs that absolutely fall in love with the babies their humans bring home. Then there’s my dog leaving the room every time he comes in (just the office, but it’s also not a big space. )

She’s always been lukewarm on him. I am her human, he takes up attention I could be giving her and he’s loud and rougher than she’d like (in general, we’ve tried to train him to give her space). She doesn’t actively dislike him, but she’d probably be happier if he went off to college already .

If they squeaked or if we acted like they were dog toys he would destroy them in moments. He has a weird sense for what is a dog toy and what isn’t that I don’t understand but greatly appreciate!
