I have some cash in my wallet, but not much, and can’t see asking someone to handle it barring a real emergency. On the flip side, I imagine you keep it for emergencies.
I’ve used some recently. A lot of cashiers are wearing gloves now and didn’t care at all.
That’s good to know. I didn’t as I haven’t been in a store since… Maybe late February?
We managed to give cash to the Chinese food delivery guy a week ago. Otherwise it’s been undesired
How hard is it to file for a trademark? Do I really need a lawyer?
You can represent yourself to file and prosecute a patent, so I think it may be the case for trademarks also. But I was a patent agent, and barred from representing others regarding trademarks. I do know some experts though if you want more info.
You’re the freaking coolest. I’ll start on the paperwork and see if I get proper stuck
Card only for transactions, I did put a $20 into a tip jar recently when doing pick up. We do have a stash of cash in case of emergencies though and I got more out just prior to everyone panicking about the virus because I wasn’t sure if I’d have to hire a babysitter in lieu of day care and wanted to be able to pay that person in cash.
Checkout the USPTO info:
USPTO - Trademarks (& other IP)
Timing can be important - IIRC if you don’t use your trademark, it can go abandoned. You can’t get the Mark way in advance of the product / service.
Cool. I’ve got the site and LLC registered already, so I can release a preliminary product fairly soon
Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions anywhere in the process. The USPTO tends to be supportive of pro se filers, but there can be a lot of terminology. And I probably know how to read rejections and how to argue them in general.
So my camera is decidedly NOT GREAT, this was the best out of like 15.
No setting to speak of, just a post, perhaps the “stone” is plastic?
I thought you could tell real pearls from fakes by rubbing them on your teeth? Fake pearls will feel smooth.
Though this could just be a myth my family told me
So if I have found a bunch of seeds from probably 2009, is it worth trying to plant them? (lettuce greens mix, snow peas, spinach)
Anything I should do to make it more likely that they are successful?
@JanetJackson So in the world of jewelry nothing is confirmed until a jeweler confirms it, so definitely do that if you want to know a definite/official answer. That said, my guess is this is a very pretty artificial pearl!
I think it’s artificial because of the quality of the setting and the diameter of the part that rests against the pearl. Usually a setting or post attachment on anything that is a fine gemstone (even a cultured pearl) will be a little bigger, to ensure the stone isn’t lost. Costume jewelry tends to have more streamlined settings and attachments since that’s not as much a fear! This is true of clasps on necklaces and bracelets too, but of course not 100% of the time.
Because I think the pearl is faux I think it’s a very good bet the post is surgical steel/stainless steel. There are silver testing kits available online (though I’ve never used one) but IME it’s pretty unusual to find a vintage stud earring with a faux gem but a silver post. This is why jewelry is tricky though, because people buy it and change it and then resell it, so it is possible, but probably unlikely.
I hope that helps! I’d personally do a test by ordering a cheap pair of earrings with steel posts and see if those work for you too!
That old, I would either try sprouting indoors and transfer, or seed VERY densely, or seed interspersed with newer seeds then thin later. That minimizes wasted garden space.
Wonderful, thank you!
They’re really pretty! The perfect size too.
Agree here. You may well get some germination (hell, I have two squash seedlings from 2008 seeds right now). But you won’t get as much. If you have literally nothing else to plant in the space, there’s no harm in doing it as you normally would, but extra dense planting or sprouting g in paper towels and then transferring immediately are better ideas usually.
Recommendations for knives/knife sets that are decent quality but not bonkers expensive? I’m getting tired of hacking my thumb with my current set I’m looking for 8 inch chefs knife, paring knife, and steak knives in particular, although I’m often to a set too.
