I am an early riser by nature. I left for work at 7:45 and had my chore of the day done by then. Lol
I do nothing after dinner, though.

This is me now, but I’m quitting my job in Jan and don’t have another lined up, so I’m hoping to make the most of that extra time. IDK how other working parents clean more than bare minimum on workdays. My toddler is up super early, and we barely have energy for dishes after dinner
I work full time and study part time, so I don’t have that much time, but I put a 20 minute timer if I have to get things done. Sometimes I don’t have time too ![]()
It being almost new years and coming off the chaos of the holidays, would people be interested in a habit resetting thread? My idea behind it is a weekly focus instead of “I’m going to drink a lot of water AND take my meds AND brush my teeth twice a day AND exercise a bunch AND AND AND” from day one.
What I have in mind is:
Week 1: Item picked is drink x amount of water daily.
Week 2: How did it go? Does water still need to be the only focus or do you feel ready to add something else? If ready to add something else, choose one item from the list.
Week 3: How did it go? Oops, I didn’t do so great on the drinking water but the second thing is great, so week 3 I will focus only on the water drinking.
Week 4: Oh we all got sick. Everything is out the window.
Week 5: Start over with one thing, do not start back with two or three things.
Not to say that you won’t do the other things, but they won’t be the focus for the week, if that makes sense.
Is that something people would be interested in?
I could use something like that, there are a few little things that I’ve noticed have fallen by the wayside and then when I remember it’s a hassle to get started again.
I accidentally turned the wrong burner on of my new cooktop about a month ago with a plastic package sitting on it and burnt the plastic to the cooktop. ![]()
In the moment I got as much off as I could while it was warm, but this is how it has looked since then and I haven’t been able to use the burner – does anyone have any ideas for how I could get this off without scratching the hell out of the cooktop? ![]()
I use a razor blade to get burned crud off mine.
Same here, flat razor against the glass top and it doesn’t scratch.
I recommend a pumice stone. If the stone and the stovetop are wet, it won’t scratch the glass. The ones I buy are called Pumie Scouring Stick and they are like $2 at walmart
We did the same thing not long ago, and my trusty plastic scraper took it right off.
What is the catch with Cost Plus Pharmacy?
My most expensive HRT prescription is $13 there instead of the $60 I am paying.
Maybe @Ivy or someone else can help me with this.
“Lol” is not a thing for Gen Z right? What do they use if they want to express laughter? “haha”?
I think they do, but not a lot? My daughter will write lmao sometimes. I think mostly they use emojis to express laughter. Somehow the sobbing emoji seems to mean funny. ? Honestly, their emoji usage confuses me. It’s often the opposite of my interpretation.
Skull emoji!
Seems like they do not admit to experiencing laughter, lol
Yes because “help” also means that something is funny. It does not necessarily mean help.

Whatttttt
Like help you’re killing me?
