Yes I might have to make them when toddler is elsewhere! I can’t imagine any part of it I would let her “help” with!
Will report back!

I don’t have a working oven or a cast iron pan or a Dutch oven or any other heavy lidded cooking dish. Just a lightweight nonstick pan and a stock pot. Is there a way for me to make bread using what I have?
It’s soup weather. I’m making black bean soup and that requires fresh bread of some type.
It’s a different texture from like a loaf, but look up pan bread (skillet bread).
The stock pot is full of soup I assume?
You can do stovetop bread in either and flip it. Or steamed buns. You can also make cinnamon buns
I found an instant pot recipe. If it works this might become my go to.
Please report back on your results.
The recipe suggested using the IP’s yoghurt cycle to proof the dough, which is brilliant and I would never have thought of. My house is super cold so I wasn’t sure how to make it rise.
Looks like you’ve solved, but in case you ever need to know, you can make bread in a coffee can. Needs an oven, though.
My experiment failed. I still have some dough so I’m going to pan fry it like bannock and hope for the best.
I could add liquid to the soup and make them dumplings. Has anyone made yeast dumplings?
We have an LG dishwasher that’s almost 5 years old that has started making a noise that Internet videos tell me is the motor failing. The Internet also tells me that it’s about $100 part and $400 labor, which sounds about right to me because our local appliance repair is $150 just to diagnose.
The question is, should we spend $500 to repair a dishwasher that’s is 5 years old? It’s had a couple small plastic parts break already. This thing was $1000 and is a POS.
Do not fix
If you were interested in doing the repairs yourself to eke out another year or so I’d say do it. But I wouldn’t pay someone that much when non-pos dishwashers exist and are pricey. If it’s financially feasible, put the money towards a replacement that will last longer. Apparently new Bosch dishwashers are going down hill, but the Wirecutter has a good writeup for alternatives.
Yeah, I’d gamble on the part and youtube but otherwise replace.
No, not Bosch too! They were the chosen one, supposed to save us all from shitty dishwashers!
I knowwwwwwwww it’s the worst! But Wirecutter says that there are other good dishwashers! Or maybe you can snag an old model??
Is there a store where you can get a discounted open box one to replace it? That’s how I found my Miele and I LOVE IT.
I’ll check on that down at our local appliance place. There’s generally not a lot available around here because we live in a backwater.
What is the best way to prevent leg cramps? And also, how to get relief once you have one? I’ve been taking Magnesium for a while and it has definitely helped but lately I’ve been getting them again. Seems to usually be at like 2am too, so I stand up, walk around and try to move my foot to lessen the pain but maybe there’s a specific movement that can be helpful?
