@Meowkins just did I think it was only a few weeks from photo to passport
Yay! We’re busy Friday but otherwise free
I did the online passport renewal process and it was about 3 weeks!
This is how I find out Denver is only a three hour flight from Toronto?! What have I been doing this whole time
Toronto is nice and all but have you considered one of Canada’s smaller cities that has nothing to offer tourists? My dogs are nice. I am capable of niceness in the right situation.
FOR THE ERAS TOUR???
How perfect!! YES, we are going for the eras tour and will be trying to buy tickets day of.
How spectacular. Is perfect forever baby also going? How many sequins does your outfit have?
I also have a fairly open weekend (one thing Saturday morning that I can skip) if there is a last minute gathering.
I can babysit!
JEALOUS!
But also inspired. I need to make to Vancouver. Both my daughter and I have expired passports, but now I know we may be able to get them quickly?
OMG PLEASE HELP ME.
I have been invited to a friendsgiving. It is a potluck. I am terrible at cooking literally anything. I mean, I can follow a recipe. I’m just bad at food.
The host gift I have already settled. I think there’s some opportunity to bring an appetizer? Guys please help. I hate thanksgiving and all its foods so I cannot be left to my own devices truly. There are some vegans.
WHAT SHULD I BRING
This is the current line up:
Main Dishes:
Goose (?)
Shepherds Pie
Mac n Cheese
Sides:
Sweet Potats
Brussel Sprouts
Mystery Tuber
Appetizer
Cheesy Bread
Cheese
Dessert
Cake
Vegan Pumkin Pie
Feeling like Mulan off the the matchmaker. My family’s dignity rests on it!
I’m a big fan of a crudite platter with a few dip options! Vegan, easy to snack, much lighter than the rest of the meal. And mostly did I say easy?
Keeping in mind the vegans, how about a bruschetta option? Dice tomatoes, add oil and herbs and garlic, let sit in fridge overnight or whatever. Serve with slices of crusty bread.
Bruschetta is a great option and if you don’t want to go homemade, the TJ’s one is really good!
I was going to suggest this. Much cheaper if you chop the vegetables yourself (celery, bell peppers, English cucumbers, carrots, etc.). Buy the dips.
Or - buy an appetizer at a place like Trader Joe’s - like a Brie En Croute (so?), bake it, bring it. Or bring it on a baking sheet ready to go and bake there, if hosts are okay with that.
Cheese platter, senate small platter with vegan cheeses. Warning, this can get expensive since cheese is pricey. Bring 2-3 types of crackers, at least one gluten-free if needed.
Assorted nuts - roasted, salted, otherwise seasoned, even sweet / caramelized.
Fruit salad.
Green salad.
Lavosh rolls - lavosh - spread with soft cheese / dip like hummus or pepper spread or pesto, add thinly sliced or grated vegetables, roll up, slice to make pretty and tasty pinwheels.
All of these are options that are more assembling than cooking.
Am I the only one who wants chips and salsa as an appetizer
A hummus or dip with veggies/crackers sounds perfect though.
Am I allowed to just bring… vegetables? LOL
guys I have such a weird complex about this, lol.
Excuse me, if you arrange them on a platter, they are crudites
Bruschetta is fancy chips and salsa.
