Hmm, see long bangs or front that has to stay back by ear tucking does NOT work for me, if it’s long enough it’ll get in my eyes when I exercise it’s a hard no. It either will need to be really short or long enough to get pulled back. And I wear my hair back 100% of the time. Right now I usually just braid it. But post partum hair loss means I have a lot of 3-4” fly aways that have appeared and are anarchists.
Ughhhhhhhhh. I am just sick of my hair having fly aways, chunks coming out whenever I wash it, taking ages to dry and forever to wash, and being a baby grab and yank toy slash baby finger tourniquet risk.
I have a bunch of half-length buffs (like the one shown) from bike events but have also made them out of old t-shirts. I get headaches from headbands but these are much looser and stay on my tiny head better than a headband.
Yes. My hair curls up a lot more when it doesn’t have the weight on it from being long, so that’s a consideration. But I didn’t find it more difficult to maintain, just have to keep stocked in anti-frizz product. But that’s always anyway.
Oooh I’ve never tried one of those. Head bands cut in after a short while for me normally. I’d have to wear it full time with mid length hair though, I seriously can’t tolerate hair in my face at all. but might be nice now even if I don’t cut my hair to help with PP fly aways.
That’s how I am sensory-wise and my hair is super fine so it’s a constant thing. I would die at work without these; the feeling of 1. bouffant cap hair after a 10-12hr shift and 2. that one stray touching my face when I’m scrubbed in is enough to chop off my head
Headbands always hurt me. Glasses, too, even when they are fitted perfectly. The material for most buffs is stretchier than a headband so it doesn’t seem to put pressure on my skull.
Huh. Well, I trusted an article on works by Iranian authors that seemed legit but that I don’t remember where it was. Let me see what I can find.
ETA I’ve only read onE
ETA 2 : the original French was four volumes, then the english translation was two, then the Complete Persepolis, which is what I read, is the whole thing. That’s all in the Wikipedia article if you scroll down, but I found it first at the library of Congress.
