THANK YOU it has been annoying me since I first heard about “quiet quitting”. Google was not helping me

Does anyone have a recommendation for an online sheet music app?

I’ve always bought paper music, but I’d love to just download songs without needing to print them off. It would be nice to to have a database where I can find them, instead of downloading it onto my phone AND tablet if I want it in more than one place.

I know a bunch of professional musicians who use forScore (I’ve also used it some but not a whole lot)

Yes, I use it. It is worth paying for, it is really well done. My favorite feature is you can write in edits or notes if needed.

Would people be interested in a thread about what they’re buying/making for others for the holidays?

Brought to you by Amazon giving me a free month of Prime and also I have a few things I want to get on Black Friday sales if I can. I also want to hear what was a hit for people in the past.

Open enrollment question here: my friend, currently in open enrollment, has a kid who is on her insurance plan. Kid’s dad’s job just ended open enrollment. Now that she got her insurance information for next year, it’s looking like having kid on dad’s plan would have been more cost effective. Can she drop kid from her plan and have that count as a qualifying life event so he could be added to his dad’s plan?

The internet is not being useful.

I’m pretty sure you can because otherwise you could never switch your kids’ insurance if open enrollments aren’t at the same time, but I think dad’s HR is the place to ask for sure.

I agree, they should just call HR.

(We switched a couple times including mid year once)

Australians and those who have visited our Australian friends, I would love your advice!

My wife and I are planning on going to Australia in early 2023, and I’d love any recommendations you all have. We’ll be there in late February/early March for Sydney Pride and will also fly to Melbourne to see a friend. We’re going with our very organized friends, which means we actually have to decide what we want to do now!

We like: Relaxed nature outings, food, cultural events, good views. I like history, architecture, and gardens and my wife is willing to come along. Our budget is not full Ramit but is not super tight either.

My favorite thing I did near Melbourne was visit Phillip Island to see the Little Penguins. The island itself had amazing views and the penguins were really cute. It’s a bit of a drive outside the city though, will you have a car?

That sounds lovely! TBD if we’ll have a car or not, I think it’ll depend on what we want to do.

Does anyone know where to purchase unscented wet swiffer pad refills?

Our target had them, but not in the same aisle as the scented refills.
I’ve also gotten them recently at Walgreens.

Weird! But thank you!

How do I fax just one page? I have an email with a PDF attachment but apparently I need to have a physical form or fax it to the place (and then they’ll print it I guess). Any recommendations for online services that don’t suck?

I’ll just print it at the library and take in the physical form.

Is there any way to patch this?
