I see the second one everywhere now but how do you clean it?

I’m with you, especially since from the look of the head it’s probably a pull-out sprayer as well (mine is a similar style) but it just depends what it’ll go with.

My priority is brand. Delta or another good brand will have replacement parts and last forever. Sketchy brands will not. I would rather have a basic, boring faucet from a good company than a fancy one from a bad company

Agreed. We had a Moen shower handle in a house we bought that was at least 20 years old and the cartridge failed on it, and we contacted them and were able to get a replacement part for it with absolutely no issue. i’m pretty sure they sent it to us for free if I’m remembering right.

There are very very few things where I insist on certain brands, but with faucets it matters.

Me too. Moen and Delta are the only brands I will buy for faucets and handles.

But note that the big box stores now sell budget versions of reputable brand faucets that won’t last very long. I was recommended to buy a faucet from a plumbing store like Ferguson, or find the model of faucet there at least. I’ve found that Amazon Warehouse or eBay are great places to find very nice open box faucets for a deal.

Delta, Moen, Kohler, Grohe/Hansgrohe are all reputable. The plumber said get Delta for showers.

I don’t recommend it.

Hmmm interesting. I ordered a pricey Kohler but maybe I should cancel it and get a Moen? I have no idea of brands.

That appears to be it! Thank you!

We have Kohler for all our faucets (Delta for shower fixtures) and they’ve been great. They’re the high end ones. I’ve had a couple of customer service warranty things (my fault, actually) and they’ve sent new parts right away.

Kohler it is then!

Spent almost $300 lololol hemorrhaging money lol

I spent a lot on faucets too, even after finding great deals! The Kohler ones fit my aesthetic the best so that’s why I chose that brand.

Our kitchen faucet replaced an American Standard one where I regret having separate hot and cold handles, would be cold to start and then burn my hands. The new one has multiple spray options and I love it so much!

Are you taking about the rough in or the trim?

Don’t they go together? Whatever brand trim you’d get the same brand rough in?

Rough in is normal plumbing parts from a hardware store. If your pipe in your wall has a brand you paid too much.

Kohler is good.

My hope with this stuff is that it’s a one time purchase, so the money sucks but at least isn’t recurring.

Get a pull down faucet. They are really useful!

Also, Moen has an excellent guarantee and customer support and sends replacements parts for free.

I just looked up the definition, from what my contractor had said before I got confused. I thought the shower rough in was the part with the cartridge. That part should match the trim, but not the pipes and stuff.

So since we are talking about plumbing…. I bought a shewee for my upcoming trip. Any comments, feedback or suggestions? I plan on practicing in the shower and as suggested with clothes on for practice.
