Is it super fucking hard to get rid of but otherwise just kind of there? Usually they start as a small white circle or dot. Often if you apply OTC wart remover you’ll see the skin come off, and then the white circle thing will return. That’s how you can tell! They can also get bigger and then it’s really obvious but that can take a long time.

Agreed with @AllHat, so hard to get rid of. I’ve had mine frozen off three times, plus used OTC wart remover probably 5 or 6 times.

They’re usually flat or maybe a tiny bit raised, not a big bump like a normal wart. Mine is a tiny black dot, and if you do use OTC wart remover, the surrounding skin is killed off more quickly/effectively.

Yeah so far it’s just like… a hard small skin colored dot on my foot. I know I’ve stepped on broken glass, pebbles, etc over the years and had stuff embedded in my foot. So I don’t know how to tell if it’s something working it’s way out, or a wart? I’ve never had a plantar wart, though. But it’s uncomfortable, like standing on a small pebble, especially when I’m barefoot.

Time will tell. Welcome to the page turning, edge of your seat, foot-related thriller you never wanted to star in!

ETA: Oh and get the OTC stuff in the tube. The medicated pads aren’t as good, you can really overload it with the gel if you get a tube and cut your own pad.

It’s been unchanged for a few months since I’ve noticed it. What is worth prompting home treatment do you think?

Hm, well if it were me I would but that’s because I know I’m prone to them. Is it colored at all? If it’s just the color of your skin I’d leave it alone.

picture, but feet in general are gross 😂

I present, my cold and probably raynaud’s syndrome feet haha.

Just below the second toe there. It’s a little white because the skin is pretty dry right now, but post moisturizing it just looks like a different pattern of the same skin I think? Like it’s a rock in whorls of a river.

Yeah tbh that might be a plantar wart. I’d start fighting the sucker now since they can be so stubborn. I’d also get new socks and toss any old gross sandals or slippers you have hanging around. Unfortunately I am kind of an expert, lol. Oh and thoroughly check your feet to make sure that’s the only one you have.

Ugh. Does this also mean I need to wear shoes so I don’t transmit it? I don’t want to give it to Latte. (I imagine I got it from my husband, I think he gets them sometimes).

I wear socks at all times when I’m treating mine, yeah.

I’m going to have to put nonslip dots on my socks :joy::weary: I’ve nearly killed my self sprinting around with Latte before. Okay. What a pain.

Thank you!!

Does anybody know how to take a bunch of documents in a file system in word, convert them to PDF, and have the links within the nested files open in a new tab in Adobe reader rather than opening the linked document in the same tab? I don’t want my readers to have to use the back arrow and then find their place again every time they look at a reference.

I believe there is a setting in Adobe Acrobat Pro (if you have it) but not sure about other versions, that let you set this. It will be in the pdf settings somewhere (and then resave the pdf). Let me see if I can find it.

I do have Pro, thanks.

Ahhhh I think it might be browser dependent (and probably constantly changes as updates break things). But there is a setting in Preferences (Edit --> under Categories click General --> then on the right under Basic Tools there will be a box for Open documents as new tabs in the same window

I feel like this just works in Chrome… or maybe Firefox?.. but we only have Edge installed now on our work computers, and it does not seem to work there.

However, you can right click on the link and choose Open link in new window or Open link in new tab… One more step but it definitely works in Edge.

ETA: I do not know if you have to go in and use the Edit toolbar and then the Link tool and chose Auto-create web links from URLs to be able to make it work, or if it will just work automatically without doing that first…

ETA2: Hm if you are in Acrobat (maybe even Reader), and you click on a document link within a pdf that has the checkbox referenced above set, the document WILL open in a new web browser tab automatically (at least in Edge), whether it is another pdf or text file or web address or whatever. But if you are reading the pdf within a web browser itself, it will not (it will open in the same window), unless you do the right click trick. So YMMV.

I just got rid of a plantar wart after 2+ years of half-assed treatment. What finally worked for me was using the liquid sacylic acid and then covering it with a bit of duct tape. The duct tape stayed on way better than any kind of pad or covering that was actually designed for feet.

I’m considering adding Vanguard Dividend Growth Fund (VDIGX) to my portfolio. Expense ratio is higher than the Admiral shares index funds (eg. VDIGX = 0.26% versus 0.04% for VTSAX (Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund Admiral Shares)), but it seems smart to have some more dividend yielding holdings in my portfolio for diversity. Does anyone here have experience with dividend funds? It would not be a significant portion of my portfolio at the moment. My taxable investment account is through Vanguard, so that is who I would go with.
