Did you all know that today is National Cat Day??? I just saw it online. :heart_eyes_cat::heart_eyes_cat::heart_eyes_cat: I’m not sure my girl could be more spoiled, but I probably should do something in honor of the day!

I can’t believe that I am about to ask such a dumb question…

When flying domestically, can I keep my meds (none of which are controlled substances) in the daily pill dispenser, or do I have to haul the actual prescription bottles with me so I can prove what they are? I’ve never had to do this before, other than with birth control pills that come in a pack that clearly show what they are.

I’ve never had anyone ask me about my meds. I do travel with my pain meds in their container but that just in case anyone wants to make a fuss because they are opioids.

If I made a “hey we’ve got 2 months left in the year, this thread is for getting those last things done/habits established that you wanted to do in 2021” thread, would people be interested?

I would. I’ve been doing a Fall Reset this week and I feel like I’ve finally got some momentum.

Technically you are supposed to keep prescriptions in the pill bottle at all times. I do this because mine are pain meds and I don’t want to risk it, but I seriously doubt it would ever be an issue, especially with non abusable meds. I have never gotten a comment about meds in the airport despite being randomly selected like, all the fucking time.

I’ve traveled with vitamins in the daily pill dispenser thingy, never thought twice about it and never had an issue. It’s usually in my carry-on bag as I seldom check baggage.

I have also never had an issue with pills in carryons while flying domestically. If flying internationally I bring the prescriptions but nobody has ever questioned me about it, and I used to fly a lot.

Yeah, I get searched every. fucking. damned. time. too! So annoying.

Oh yes, we only check a bag if we are literally forced to (as in, during boarding they announce the bins are full so everyone who’s not on yet has to gate check). And no way would I put lifesaving meds anywhere other than in my purse which is on me at all times!

How do I share/quote a post from one journal to another?

Quote and reply, and then copy the formatting text and original quote. Close that reply, go to the other thread, hit reply, then paste on there.

Thank you! I got paranoid that that couldn’t be right because the preview window shows slightly different formatting but it worked!

I think I had to ask, too! No worries!

I don’t travel with meds, but if I did? I’d keep them in their dispenser and take pics with my phone of the prescription label. At least here, that includes a description of the pill: “blue with 24 on one side and a line on the other,” as an example (I made the words up.).

I’d like to get a little something for the school crossing guard now that the weather is getting cooler. This morning I has a two second window to ask “Tea or coffee?” and he said “Tea!”

I was not prepared for this. I was just going to get him a $20 Starbucks gift card and call it good. Dang impulse to be nice. :joy: Dude’s out there every day with a smile on his face creating order out of chaos. What should I get him?

starbucks has nice tea drinks too!

or you could get him a nice insulated travel mug that keeps his tea nice and hot?

Is nausea common in dogs after taking monthly heartworm preventative? Also, is it progressive? It seems like each time we give little pup her heartworm meds, she has a little more diarrhea or vomiting. she’s 3 1/2, she’s been on the meds pretty much her whole life I think.
