You go to Best Buy and you pick some that do not have that fake leather stuff…

But seriously, I don’t think you do. I’ve seen people try to fix such with duct tape or electrical tape, but it will continue to deteriorate and shed bits of… whatever… all over the place. It does not seem worth it to me.

So I have bags of frozen brussels sprouts I want to eat. Normally I just toss in olive oil, season a tiny bit, and bake. But I want to use my food processor more and I’d like to shred them to get that crispier roasty goodness.

To achieve this should I:

  • Take the bags out and let them thaw for a while, shred them, then roast

  • Roast them for a bit until they’re softer, then shred them and roast the rest of the way

  • or is this a bad idea and I should just get fresh sprouts next week, never freeze them, and shred them like normal?

Fresh sprouts to shred. The frozen will just be a mess.

This is what I feared. I knew you would have all the sprout knowledge

Can you authentically use the term “published” for documents you drafted, printed and distributed for a community organization and events?

I think you can buy fabric covers to put over them.

Well balls. They are SUCH good headphones other than that. Grumble grumble.

I’ll have to investigate this…

Hm… perhaps it is possible to buy covers for them? (IDK, just thinking)

My Sennheiser headphones have replacement parts that can be ordered from their website. Look into that?

Depends on context. For many contexts, though, yes.

I think this is a good suggestion. I’ve seen replacement foam and cover for my Bose headphones.

Any of your more expensive headphones should have something similar? Either brand name or generic.

If not, I am prepared to be outraged at our throw away society.

Context is resume, I wrote and distributed a guide for hosting community events and ways to get involved locally to impact change while volunteering for another nonprofit.

A late response but I thought this was a useful, (given my complete lack of knowledge!), and interesting article. It explains why authorities are so concerned about this virus - the mortality rate of the MERS and SARS epidemics (other members of the same viral family) were orders of magnitude higher than annual influenza mortality rates.

For interview thank-yous: if there were two people interviewing me, does it matter if I send the same email addressed to both of them, or should I send separate, personalized thank yous?
ETA don’t know if it’s relevant, but I had to stalk the department’s website for both of their emails- that’s not weird, is it?

I would send an individual email to each, and super not weird at all.

Panda’s post made me realize I also have a question on interview thank you’s. My interview hasn’t happened yet, but I checked out the company website and they don’t have a list of names of employees or contact information anywhere. I’ve communicated with a couple people from the company through Indeed, which masks their actual email address. I suspect that there will be at least one other person I haven’t had any communication with who will also be at the interview.

Should I send snail mail thank you’s to everyone who interviews me? Or only emails to the people who have already emailed me?

Would you be comfortable asking for their card at the end of the interview? That’s what I would do

I’m not sure. I haven’t had to interview anywhere in nearly a decade, so I’m a little nervous. I feel like I shouldn’t ask for contact information that isn’t offered, and I don’t want to make things awkward if I ask for business cards and they don’t have them on hand or whatever.
