Thanks!
It’s called done. It isn’t super cheap but it isn’t outrageous
Thanks!
What low/mid calf boots should I buy for colder weather? Mildly water resistant, able to stand up to a light snow, preferably very plain design and a bit sporty looking. I guess I could do Docs but I don’t like the look that much and don’t know if they’re good boots. Literally what are the boot brands under $150
I like Sorel and Blundstone. I’m not sure about price point, they are a little pricy, but worth it for the quality/waterproof-ness. I bought a less expensive pair of North Face winter boots once and had wet toes every day because they weren’t actually waterproof
I’ve been thrilled with my merrel boots
I love Muck brand boots but not sure if they fit your style criteria or not. Slip on, not lace up, yet more comfortable to walk in than any lace up boot I’ve ever owned.
Is anyone here really great at LinkedIN?
I am not. I have a very old profile that I am attempting to update and to me it looks like a big jumbled mess and I think I need help editing?
Let me know if anyone would be willing to look at it for me!!
It’s got my personal info, so probably only someone who I “know” here on the forum or who has a presence. No offense everyone else!
I have managed to muddle through, I may be able to talk you through how to edit etc. if you don’t want to share info. Anonymity is a wonderful thing.
Opinions? High back, short back, cushion, no cushion… I think I have settled on getting a sectional couch and a glider.
The Adirondack one is a couple of months out so definitely not getting used this year. It’s made of Trex so I feel like it might be the most durable. Also it weighs a lot compared to the other ones.
Cushions can be a pain to deal with if you get rain. Need to store somewhere when not in use.
I love the trex chairs, but confirming that they’re ridiculously heavy to move if that’s a consideration.
I like the second one: it is softer without having to deal with cushions and light enough to move around.
I love the wayfair trex chair the most. It will be the most durable and it also has the most classic look that will actually look good as it gets older and used more - I feel like the others will just look worn down as they get used more.
Help me plan a driving route, please. I’m going from Springfield, IL to Lincoln, NE next weekend-ish and driving over two days. The two longest routes include another state capitol and the possibility of seeing people. But they are long and the KC one is mostly highway.
Are you familiar with any of these areas and know of interesting things to do/see/hike/camp along the way?
A
Pros: 1. would spend a night in Iowa. I’ve so far only clipped the SW corner of the state and want to see more of the state. 2. Would get to see the IA state capitol. 3. I think there are OMDers along this route and maybe one would want to meet up?
Cons: 1. Long trip
B
Pros: 1. Still get a night in IA 2. Most of it is not interstate driving
Cons: 1. miss out on a state capitol 2. Are there even campgrounds/places to stay in this part of IA?
C
Pros: 1. Shortest route by far 2. Not interstate through MO
Cons: 1. No state capitol
D
Pros: 1. includes detour to MO state capitol 2. Maybe see friend in KC?
Cons: 1. Lots of interstate 2. Long trip
@Bracken_Joy I think I remember you mentioning using some mineral drops for your SodaStream? What brand do you like?

I love both my merrel and keen boots so much. They’re both very comfy. Sorels are always a little narrow for me, but I want to love them.
I think the conversations I’m half-remembering about buying clothes online and looking at fabric types happened on this forum. What fabric types should I look for? What fabric types should I avoid?
