Ha. Maybe something a little more comfy…

For moving, a classic rocking chair or porch swing would be my choice, but all we have right now is a composite picnic table and camp chairs

I really like when people have outdoor pillows that you can move and arrange as needed!

On the front porch we have a set of fake wicker chairs with matching coffee table, which was a deal at Home Depot a few years ago. 3/5 for comfort.

In the screened porch we have a similar L shaped couch which we bought at Wayfair, because we had a gift card. 4/5 for comfort, because you can stretch out, but you also have to move the cats to do that. Also two random rocking chairs, which I prefer for sitting out there and actually doing stuff.

On the back patio we have a couple of zero gravity chairs - very comfy - a hammock - comfy except that the 5yo pounces in you if you get into it - and some cheap plastic Adirondack chairs which are extremely comfortable. Also, an outdoor pouf for my feet, which I bought at Aldi several years ago.

I miss my garden swing and regret not moving it.

If I were made of money, I’d buy some nice composite Adirondack chairs.

Only thing I have on either patio that moves is my hammock. In stationary furniture, I have a folding bistro set from Amazon that is fine as additional seating, 2 wooden loveseat/armchairs/coffee table sets, a glass and aluminum table, metal target folding chairs(shockingly comfortable!) and resin cup style armchairs. Oh and 2 sam’s club resin loungers that I have napped on sans cushion.

I have all saved-from-the-landfill finds, but I do actually think it’s given the opportunity to purchase I would’ve gotten similar things.

Loveseat sized outdoor bench w/ cushions + matching chair + footrest that can double as a table or a seat in a pinch.

Old wooden bench that holds plants + teak wooden shelf thing that also holds plants.

^ I do wish the loveseat was a glider. Rockers are OK, gliders are heavenly!

Oh, the camp chairs and old loveseat are super comfy. I have no excuse for the plastic chairs.

I don’t have comfy patio furniture right now, but I dream of the day when I can have an outdoor sectional couch with lots of pillows, and then a glider type loveseat and a few chairs…all circled around a fire pit. The couch is such a nice option, one of my friends has one and it’s so relaxing to hang out at her house and I don’t have to sit the whole time (which for me is painful) and there’s lots of different options for people to recline/sit/lay with all the pillows.

I’m definitely thinking gliders now. We had one when I was a kid and I remember loving it.

I honestly never thought about a couch. I have plenty of room for both a couch and a glider! The area from the steps/door over is 15’ wide by 10’ deep. Hmm… now to research and see if I want to spend the money now. (I should probably wait and see how much the new concrete costs.) I can of course keep the recliners for now. The real goal is to build a screen porch in the next couple of years if I can save enough money, and a couch would be so nice on a porch.

In an unwarranted fit of optimism last week, I bought 6 bell peppers. Now it’s been 6 days and we haven’t used a single one. What are y’all’s favourite recipes that include them? No seafood please

Roast them. They’ll shrink so you can use all six in one meal if you want and they’ll be delicious.

(Brought to you by me roasting two trays worth of vegetables down to one container for tomorrow’s dinner, but I forgot to get peppers.)

Oh and the budget bytes Smokey sausage tray bake is great too.

Stuffed peppers would be my vote, but I would just cut them up and eat them raw, too.
