Super Mario Odyssey! H and I play together and have beaten it and we are now collecting all the moons and coins and I love it so much
You want form 8889, and it’s not hard- I had to do it a couple years back before I figured out my employer’s weird withholding rules.
Meanwhile, it’s worth talking to your boss about setting up pretax withholding for the coming year, because otherwise you’re missing out on the exemption from FICA taxes that’s one of the major perks of an HSA.
This is very good to know for me too! Thank you!
Thank you!
Any of the Dragon Quest games
Mario Maker
Crash Team Racing if you like Mario Kart but want something a little different
Fire Emblem
Also Untitled Goose Game is my favorite thing, so seconding that recommendation haha
Does anyone have good, solid scientific backings for parsley/parsley tea helping with colds? @Bracken_Joy @Elle ? I tried looking but all I kept finding was woo-woo sources.
Haven’t ever Looked into it. Doubt I’ll have tome sorry!
My source is a zine, but parsley tea has been a useful antihistamine for me whenever I’ve needed one. The worst that can happen is it doesn’t clear your nose and you get lots of vitamin c, right?
You have a good, adorable excuse.
Does anyone have first-hand experience with e-scooters (electric scooters)?
I’m curious about handling on imperfect surfaces - wet ground, compact gravel instead of pavement, etc. - especially at lower speeds. Is there a learning curve? Are they generally safe for these purposes?
Longer explanation: I saw someone on an electric scooter taking a dog out for a trot & it dawned on me that this may what I’m looking for to replace how I used to inline skate with dogs (which is pretty dangerous or not even doable on wet or bad surfaces). It also would likely be simpler and more enjoyable for a dog than using a bike attachment, which requires more training, some dogs never like, and isn’t usually “fun” biking (speed is too slow).
OH I FORGOT ABOUT HOLLOW KNIGHT
Visually stunning, amazing music
Oooh this is next on deck for our weekend game nights, H is very excited about it
awwww yisssss I’m excited for y’all! I think it’s honestly my favorite out of the ones I listed.
brb gonna go listen to the soundtrack now lol
I haven’t ridden one but have a friend who’s used all the brands that have been available in Minneapolis, fairly regularly throughout the summer. He also bikes year round, daily in the summer.
I asked him his thoughts on your questions -
Throwing my niche-genre two cents in:
for cooperative play, I recommend both Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Overcooked.
Solo, I’ve been enjoying some low-stakes RPGs including Cattails, Pokemon Sword, and The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa.
Also haven’t ridden one, but from an engineering perspective: those small wheels on scooters are more similar to the size of wheels on inline skates than bicycles, so it’s likely to react similarly to skates re: uneven surfaces and such.
My cats litter box has high sides, yet sometimes she still pees up and over the side/back onto the floor. I have watched her, and it’s like she crouches her front when she pees so her butt is up high. It is on painted concrete, so it doesn’t really matter as far as the floor is concerned, but I really don’t love cleaning it up. Any ideas on stopping this? It is quite random, like she recently went a couple months without doing it, then the last 2 times she has made a mess. When I see it, I do clean it up, hoping that she won’t smell it and do it again. I scoop it every other day and there are maybe 4-6 clumps total in the box, do I need to do it every day? This has probably been happening since I have had her (6 years), so I don’t think it would be a medical thing, it’s just a bit annoying.
It’s worth trying a daily scoop imo. Sometimes cats care about pristine box conditions and sometimes they don’t, but if she’s in a caring mood… worth it to not have to clean the wall.
I had one cat that always managed to get his bum off the side. I finally bought a litter box sized cheap plastic tote about 18" tall and cut a big hole in the front, leaving the lid off. That worked! And ironically was a lot easier to clean than any litter box I’ve used.
