I just think you should be able to apply format painter to everything. Across workbooks, across programs, across people…

This would make getting ready in the morning so much easier.

Can you copy the excel and then delete the data?

Copy, then Paste Special (Formatting)?

I don’t know the hotkeys, but if you right click and go into Paste Options it’s there (once you are in Paste Special I think it is ‘R’).

So I would do Select All --> Copy --> [go to new sheet] --> Select All --> Paste Special --> R

The workplace wasnt toxic, I actually really enjoyed working with most of the people in my old department, which is the department I would be going back to. I feel like the team culture there was better than my team at current job. I am unsure if current culture I dont like is site specific to where I am or company wide.

The thing that made me leave old company was a bunch of poor decisions by high up people, who have all gone, plus a few lower people who have also gone. I have had people from outside my old team call up and give me sales pitches about how much the overall company regrets previous decisions and all the stuff they are doing to change, and I do feel like these people are genuinely trying to improve and learn from past mistakes, and the company faced a lot of shareholder pressure over it, so hopefully the company is moving in the right direction. Though I still kinda feel a bit iffy about working for them.

Though the whole industry I am in is iffy about these kind of things, so at least previous company is acknowledging it more and trying to change, I feel like they are doing more than current company.

can you copy the whole sheet to a new workbook and then just delete the data you need to change?

Given OldPlace is actually making progress and NewPlace is currently giving lip service at most, AND you actually preferred the people at OldPlace, I reckon you should give it a shot. I think you’re smart enough to manage the new role and with the support for growth it would be a really great opportunity. Your concerns are totally valid, and unfortunately even if you totally rock the role some people are gonna be butts about it anyway. My FIL has done an MBA and so have people on this site, if you’d like to hear about what it’s like to do one?

I thin the MBA thing isn’t too worrying for me, I don’t have to do one if I go back, its just something they offered, as training to make me feel more comfortable in the role. So I would probably look more into the details once I go back to decide if I needed it

Has anyone had long hair their whole life and chopped it all off (pixie cut) and been happy? I’ve already decided I’m doing it and made the appointment, I just need some success stories while I wait so I don’t get too anxious :grimacing:

I didn’t cut it quite that short, but I did go from thigh length to jaw length and was quite happy with it!

I’ve done it a couple times and it feels so freaking good, after the first week of using way too much shampoo

Actually my first time going from long to pixie was probably when my son was a baby. I was still shedding like crazy and my hair just existing where I could feel it drive me crazy.

Wash day is killing me right now. My hair is really thick, sheds a ton, my scalp won’t tolerate any dry shampoos, and I don’t have time to dry it with a blow dryer. It’s back all the time so why have it at all?? But I’m still terrified haha.

I’ve done it! My one warning with going full pixie is that you need frequent trims to keep it looking good. My hair would tend to go mushroom head looking if I want very careful with trims.

I’ve done it several times. I love it. Also, yes, to using too much shampoo for a while and frequent trims. If you’re brave, you can attempt some cleanup at home to make the trims less frequent. It is so much easier and faster; it’ll dry in no time. (I have super thick hair which tends to be straight.)

I’ve also done this and love it! My hair is very thick too, so washing a pixie is way more manageable.

I’m hoping that after the initial salon shaping, my husband will be able to trim it regularly. He does his own hair (has for years) and he mainly goes for the undercut/hipster flop look. I am definitely a mushroom risk with my wavy/curly/thick/frizzy hair.

How often do you have to trim?

Me! I had long hair all the way through college, went to a bob, and then to a pixie. It helps that my hair has the right volume and body to look fine even if I do zero things to it in a pixie, but it’s great.

When I had long hair it took a good 15-20 minutes to blow dry, and if I let it air dry it took hours and looked awful. I have grown it out again twice, and I always end up with a pixie again. It’s just so easy and light. No more headaches from ponytails, it takes a miniscule amount of shampoo, dries by itself so fast. I love it.

Good luck!

I think our hair is pretty similar, and mine can’t get too short or it just sticks straight out from my head. It needs some weight to help it adhere to the laws of gravity.
