Wool rug Vs. UTI level stink dog pee (she’s feeling better now thank you).
It’s been sitting for three days after a very quick rushed clean up and it’s likely I won’t be able to leave the house to buy any special cleaners for three or so more days.
Is the rug a goner?
Every single rug in my house was free but it figures this is the only rug that I paid for and is actually nice. I’d love to save it if possible.
I have vinegar, I probably have baking soda somewhere, I have rug cleaner, I have Barbiide, I have peroxide, and soap.
I’m unhappy with my current snack selection. But I also have extremely particular requirements and preferences. So rather than sit here and veto stuff as people try to brainstorm for me, I think it’s easier for everyone to just tell me their favorite snacks and I’ll take it from there
Eta bonus points for stuff from Trader Joe’s or Costco.
Mozzarella sticks. Triscuit (though I usually get store brand). Apples with some PB on them, raisins stuck to the PB if I’m feeling fancy. Graham crackers and peanut butter.
None of this from Costco for me, but I bet they have 'em.
What type of crackers do you use for this? I always eat the olive tapenade on plantain chips, but I haven’t been getting to Trader Joe’s as often as I would like lately. And I’ve been having bad luck with the plantain chips and having them be stale lately.
I’ve been doing triscuits mostly just because my husband likes them and they go on sale pretty often. I need a substantial cracker to withstand the sheer magnitude of how much tapanade is going on top.
Kirkland kettle style krinkle cut chips, Himalayan salt flavor
Red Rock Deli spicy BBQ chips
Kirkland tortilla chips
String cheese
Used to get various nuts, not any currently
Salami or other charcuterie
Granola bars
Trader Joes has these dried mandarin orange segments that are almost worth the trip all by themselves. A co-worker and I used to take turns buying them for the other each time we visited a client in Vermont.
Trader Joes has a chili-lime spice blend that is great on top of grapefruit segments. I’m told it is traditional on top of mango slices.
Not Trader Joes, but last week I got Mini Wheats to snack on.
Depending on the time for snack, I chop up a half frozen banana and put in some peanuts and a sprinkle of fleur de sel (add maple syrup, sesame oil, granola, or baileys depending on your mood and the situation)
A hard boiled egg, by itself, sprinkled with salt, or to dip into mayo/miracle whip
Relevant time frame: being full throat screamed at point blank by a toddler while you prepare and consume said snack aka, minimal prep definitely preferred.
Good to know on the mandarins- I think I’ve seen a couple flavors of them? Are they just the plain ones if there are multiple? And you just eat plain? Ty!
Nutella is not on my radar for the opposite reason that cheeze whiz isn’t on my radar. It would likely work, but it wasn’t like I was trying to find a way to make the dried mandarin oranges even more-ish than they already are
