I would be cautious about mouth burns but hot bubble tea straws are a thing.
Yerba mate. Yes.
Metal.
Yes burnt.
I read that if you do your taxes online it will ask if you received the stimulus check even though it is not taxed. Just as a check up I guess. I do mine the old fashioned way with paper, do I have to put anywhere that I got mine, or do you only have to do something if you did not get it and are trying to? I don’t want to send them in wrong if I’m supposed to do something.
Unscented deodorants that actually work? The ones I’ve tried work for a stick, maybe two, then suddenly are never enough. But even lightly scented products are too much fragrance for me.
If there are unscented anti-perspirants that don’t stain clothes I’m open to trying that.
I’m not even sure I understand what an unscented deodorant is. Deodorants just cover up the smell. It’s armpit perfume. Right now I’m good with the smell of Suave Rosemary and Mint deodorant. It tricked me though, I thought it was an antiperspirant. It seems to keep me from stinking better than not wearing it though. I’d say it’s a “gender neutral” smell.
I’ve never had an anti-perspirant stain my clothes, but my husband alway does- so I assume it’s a body chemistry thing. So I’d just keep trying different brands.
Rubbing alcohol or baking soda or zinc bases would be the only unscented deodorants I can think of.
There are several unscented deodorants out there. They use various things that neutralize body odor without covering up with fragrance, but for me at least they stop working as well after the first few weeks
I react to most fragrances with nasal irritation and sinus congestion. Some things are fine but I’ve never been able to figure out which ones they are
Can you just keep switching it up? I find with shampoo that my hair “gets used” to whatever the point of the shampoo (moisturizing, silky, whatever) and I think it looks and feels better if I use a different one each bottle/bar.
Yeah, maybe.
I’ve been really happy with Schmidt’s deodorant. It doesn’t stop me from sweating, but stops the smell. I use a charcoal+magnesium one that doesn’t really have a scent at all.
That has a fragrance, but it doesn’t bother me. I don’t like the price, but I did buy some earlier today out of frustration when I had to pick up something else, lol.
When they stop working for you, switch active ingredient (lichens versus essential oils, so on- there’s various natural bacteria inhibitors they use) and consider an “armpit detox”. That sounds hippy AF, but it’s just a matter of using a swipe of Apple cider vinegar or a clay mask on your pits to reset the bacterial colony there.
You can get it a lot cheaper through Costco, if you have a membership there.
I do but don’t think I’ve seen it at my Costco, or is it only online?
Huh, okay. Hadn’t heard of that before!
If you don’t see it in your store check online! A lot of stuff like that is seasonal. I like the lime and bergamot they have, I’ve never reacted to it and the smell fades really quickly which is a huge plus for me- I can’t smell it on myself when I wear it.
Be mindful too of the fabrics you wear. Synthetics plus normal laundry soap plus antiperspirants lead to holding scent and staining. Going too heavy on the natural ones will build up on cotton, too, especially if you wash in cold water. There’s some really interesting chemistry stuff going on with it all.
Dry weather people; what do you do when the inside of your nostrils crack? I’m running humidifiers overnight already. It’s just been cold so our heat has been running a ton, and we only have a gas furnace here and not a heat pump so it’s drying the air a TON.
Vaseline! I just shoved some up my son’s nose last week It really does help.
Ty! How do you put it in? Just like a q tip? I’m worried I’ll block my nose or suck it in
