Thank you for this info! I didn’t think about just getting a cover and then looking for custom inserts. I really need a lot of structure (but customized) like you mentioned…I am not the least bit creative and don’t art or anything fun, so bullet journaling is like to-do lists for me but then I feel lost. Now I’m going to spend hours looking at Plum Paper planners, haha

I wish I felt bad about that last bit but I totally don’t

If you’re regularly very tired, how do you tell if your vision might have gone bad in pregnancy or if you’re just tired all the damn time? It seems particularly like it’s screens far away I struggle to see clearly, not “real” things. So that’s just tired probably, right?

To me, this seems like an eye doctor question. Like I would want to rule out anything physically changing with my eyeballs.
Caveat: I take meds that require me to be more vigilant about my eyes and so my parameters may be skewed.

I’d go get an eye test done.

I had to get new glasses during my 3rd pregnancy, and then get another pair a year later. So vision changes definitely happen during pregnancy. For me, the main indicator was the headaches.

Hi angels!

Does anyone have a suggestion for a food processor that will actually turn dried beans into flour/dust?
I’ve been making veg patties/burgers/etc with dried lentils and dried pintos and it’s BY FAR the cheapest way to make these items but wow wow wow does my 10 year old hamilton beach blender/food processor combo struggle with this. I get partial flour and then have to sift out the beans that didn’t get chopped and the blender gets so hot because darn it, she’s trying her best!

:crossed_swords: :crossed_swords: :crossed_swords:

Suggestions?
I’m ok having slightly higher priced suggestions, as I am open to committing to a few higher grade kitchen items now that I am cooking nearly every single meal at home from scratch these days.

I don’t know if any food processors can do this? I’d consider a grain mill depending on what your budget is or whether you can find one used.

I’m not sure I could grind beans with my food processor, but I do have a really old Vitamix and I think it would be up for the task. I’m pretty sure my mom has done it in hers before. You might search for a used/refurbished high powered blender. I think Blendtec makes one that is comparable as well.

A good coffee grinder might work - but they tend to have small capacity.

Some burr grinders like the Cuisinart (like $50-75) have a decent size hopper. That’s the route I would try probably. The small spice grinders blade styles ($20) are all pretty tiny.

Yes - I was wondering about burr versus blade. We did use blade “coffee” grinders in the lab to pulverize seeds for extraction and testing (corn, soy).

In a burr grinder I would think lentils would be easy, not sure about garbanzo or bigger beans. Be sure to check for rocks!

So poking around online, it seems the big issue with the burrs is grabbing- unless you have split chickpeas, it’s hard to start the grind since they’re round.

So maybe tiny batch spice grinder IS the way to go? Unless you want to go full grain mill- seems anything rated for making cornmeal is a good option from what I’m reading.

Wow.
Thanks for all of the information y’all! I really genuinely thought food processors were supposed to do this so my eyes have really been opened. :man_shrugging:t3:

Aw.
I regularly call my two best friends in our group text “angels” but my AutoCorrect always changes it to Angela.
Neither of their names are Angela, but now we jokingly just all call each other Angela. :man_shrugging:t3:

I’m looking for a macro lens for a canon camera (rebel T5) . I don’t need professional level here, but a good one would be ideal. I just don’t want to spend $2k on it. Suggestions?

My husband has a Canon 100f/2.8L.
He really likes it both for macro and portrait. He is not a professional, but we have some pretty spectacular photos from it.

He bought it on sale, he said either at B&H or Adorama. It’s not $2000…but when he told me the price, I felt a bit better about my extensive nail polish collection…omg…I did not know they cost that much.
