I use Key Nutrients. I wanted one that didn’t use sugar. It does use stevia if that is an issue. I find it sweet, but I just add more water.

I’m one of those people to whom stevia tastes really weird but thanks

Any good, light, distracting TV shows on HBO Max?

Sesame street?

A little too light

Silicon valley, adventure time. Season one of Barry was lighter than season two, but I forget how light it was.

Oooh, what’s Barry?

Note that for me, light is like, people don’t die in bloody, graphic, realistic, in-your-face shots on the regular. Those are the shows that Greyman and I watch together instead of the ones I watch by myself.

So, the violence in season one wasnt too graphic, at least not that I remember. It’s been almost a year.

But! Barry ( bill hader) is a hitman who decides he wants to be an actor instead and goes to acting class taught be The Fonz. Later seasons get more serious, but still pretty funny.

That sounds fun! I might try it out.

For light by your definition, have you seen Big Little Lies or Sharp Objects yet? I think Veep is also on HBO, but anything political is too stressful and not light for me

I haven’t! I loved the book Sharp Objects, so I wonder if I would love the show, or hate it, as a result?

Oh God I love Veep. The profanity in that show is the most realistic part.

I like Barry too, but I would not consider it light. It’s a very dark comedy, has a white male anti-hero protagonist, and has tons of gun violence.

HBO Max has the Looney Tunes back catalog and even some new ones (which I haven’t seen yet), if you like your violence cartoony.

I’ve been enjoying the Harley Quinn animated series (came from DC Universe to HBO Max), and YMMV on whether you consider it light. Again - significant gratuitous violence included!

I’ve also been watching Infinity Train, which is absurdist animated series (themes of trauma but not a lot of violence!).

HBO Max has both Adventure Time and Steven Universe if those are your jam. I love Steven Universe, and it definitely moves from light to darker within its genre.

Most of the TV on HBO Max isn’t light and distracting. Movies are a lot more mixed.

Not HBO max, but I am recently OBSESSED with She-Ra and the Princesses of Power on Netflix. It’s a Netflix original, but produced by Dreamworks too, so way higher quality than typical Netflix trash. I love cartoons, but almost exclusively adult comedies, never really got into the popular fandoms for “kids” shows. This one seems geared more toward like middle/high kids than elementary. I don’t even know how to describe what makes it so different than any other animated television show but its just awesome! The art is so gorgeous… the voice acting is SO good. the stories are dramatic and funny and engaging. Also very LGBTQ friendly and focused so cool to see such positive content geared toward kids. I’m guessing you asked specifically for HbO because that’s the only streaming service you have? But I just want everyone here to watch She Ra

I want to watch that so bad! We’re trying to be good about doing only one streaming service at a time though.

Would non-violent but emotionally dark still count as “light” for you?

Maybe? I still love those shows so I would like the rec even if I don’t watch it on the “want something light” days.
