This may have been answered already, but cheap phone plans & phones? Sis was asking but I’ve basically only used Google Fi and Verizon.
Re:Games
I’ve been playing a version of Everquest called Project1999. If you like Runescape you’d probably enjoy it. It’s an old school sandbox MMO based on DnD. The graphics aren’t amazing but it will run on a potato, and it’s free (if you’re uhh…resourceful…cough) Word of caution: Do not read their forums. It’s a terrible representation of the player base. I’m pretty sure most of the people on the forums don’t even play the actual game.
Are there any veterinarians here? We’ve only been using our current vet for about a year (moved last year) and I’m pretty distrustful by nature so…basically they said kitty is fine but he has some crystals in his pee and “needs” prescription cat food, which of course they also want us to order through them only. This is the food they’re recommending, is this stuff real or just BS?

I’m happy to buy whatever my cat needs but my general trust level for things like this is like 0, lol. What do people here think?
I hope someone who knows answers… I don’t know, but I’d pull up a list of all the urinary foods available at my preferred pet store and ask why not this one.
The only cat of mine who needed a prescription food, we got cleared to use a crazy expensive over the counter food instead of a triple crazy sold by the vet food
I’m comparing the current food ingredients to this recommended food and they’re almost identical! Right now I combine Heart to Tail canned food (from Aldi) with ground up dry Kirkland food (bc otherwise he won’t eat it).
Protein and moisture ratios and things are on mine…can you check those too?
Yes, and they’re almost identical as well!
Not a vet but I use Chewy website for ordering dog food and I got an email recently that they have online vet consults available (for free I think) if you want to try that route. They’ll have a much larger selection of cat foods to push on you so that might help you finagle some information out of them?
It’s my understanding that cats are prone to kidney issues and wet cat food/prescription cat food can help with that. It was certainly the case with our elderly kitty, she was on prescription cat food for a few years before she passed away. I don’t remember how much more it was than normal cat food - a bit, but not like arm and a leg more.
That’s a great idea, thank you!!! I’m not concerned with the cost of the food (bragging) so much as that changing his food has been so hard on him in the past. He’s insanely particular about his food… just like his mama.
Can vouch for it being legit.
You raised him well
I agree with Marcela. Foods that are designed specifically to dissolve struvites or other crystals/uroliths are formulated differently than store brand foods.
Thank you! I used the alarm bookmark feature on this for later.
I agree with @Marcela and @katscratch , also, just a note that apparently male cats are more susceptible to crystals in urine (that can cause problems) (not that female cats can’t suffer from it as well).
Agree. Have discussed with my vet friends previously (had a cat with kidney issues). Legit, does help, real thing, etc.
It’s been a while since I’ve had to remember this stuff and there are constantly new studies, but my knowledge back when was that struvite uroliths are slightly more frequent in female cats, and more common in cats between 2-7 years of age; and calcium oxalate uroliths in male cats and cats over 8 years of age.
But absolutely more dangerous in male cats. Urethral obstruction is awful.
My calendar says ‘Chris party’ for Friday. Who is Chris? Where is this party? What is happening?
Thanks for the clarification @katscratch! All I could remember was that it was a bigger deal in male cats!
I appreciate your research.
