Day lilies are amazingly tough. I think the weird weather’s impact depends on the plant’s growth cycle.
They grow in ditches here (near farmsteads). They are a common plant here, and pretty hardy.

Hi Y’all!
Who has recs for month-to-month/no contract cell services that you’ve had good experiences with?
I’ve been with Virgin Mobile for maybe about 6+ years and they just sold to Boost Mobile and my service is now very very bad. I’m due for a new phone, so I figured it might be worth switching services now (before said phone completely stops working, ha).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
What do you require for service? All-inclusive or is pay-for-what-you-use (generally expensive for data) ok?
Help me decide what to make for dinner!
Originally plan was simple red lentils + mushrooms and/or zucchini + parmesan. Unfortunately the mushrooms went bad (at least my works will love them so it’s not total food waste )
I also have classic ‘Mediterranean’ adjacent food that needs to get eaten (feta, kalamata olives, lacinto kale, and the aforementioned zucchini). I could make a pasta will those and call it good but I figured I would ask here, what you would eat with these ingredients!
‘Bases’ available are red lentils, white rice, pasta, couscous, gnocchi. I have a fairly full pantry with things like canned tomatoes, coconut milk, etc., a bunch of spices, and a variety of frozen meats that I could use, but the biggest priority is getting through the kale/zuchini/feta that are going to go bad soon.
Whose towers give you a good signal? If AT&T, I recommend Consumer Cellular. It’s marketed to old people ( like me!), But who cares, right? Also, they answer the phone when you call the helpline, because old people.
Also, if you join AARP, the AARP member discount is often larger than the annual membership. You don’t have to be any particularAge to join AARP anymore.
I made paneer tandoori, which was fine. If I got it in a restaurant I would be displeased but I made it so my standards are much lower.
Probably all inclusive. I’m online doing work stuff pretty much all day and only 50% of the time on WiFi.
Honestly idk. I’ve had Virgin Mobile since I’ve lived here.
Okay, I have a gaming PC set up and running. I have returned to my long-time-love, Elder Scrolls Online, but am also looking to branch out to play other games.
I don’t have a budget for games at this time, and probably won’t for a while. I have Steam and I am running Windows 10.
Any free game recommendations?
ETA: Also, if you play ESO, I’m looking for folks to play with!
Do you want to share games with me? If we do family sharing you will have access to my full game library. I have a lot of indie games.
That’s so sweet of you! We can if you like, but I don’t want to interfere with any game playing in your household.
That’s what I expected. I can’t help with that.
I went from Virgin Mobile to Republic Wireless. So far I’ve been really happy with Republic - I’ve used it all over the northern half of the US and along the east coast from Pittsburgh to DC on a bike trail.
They change things up every few years based on customer feedback but so far I haven’t seen any reason to switch. My son also has republic and doesn’t have wifi anywhere but home, and said it’s been dandy for him too.
I will have to check that out! I’ve never heard of them before! Thx!
If you like MMORPGs (and it seems like you do) I love Guild Wars 2 and have been playing for maybe 5 years? There are 2 expansions now, but the core game, all 5 races, and I think (?) all of the core classes and all of the crafting professions are available with a free to play account, with no cap on level (you can level all the way to the max, which is 80 (and has been for a long time).
There is obviously a lot of stuff you can do beyond the core game with the expansions (and it is more profitable to, and to do certain things you kind of have to (like, I am working on a Legendary right now), but there is a ton you can do without paying anything at first, and you can always upgrade later if you wanted to. The biggest initial downside to the free account is that mounts were not introduced until the second expansion, and that is where you obtain them, so you are stuck running everywhere on your feet, which is generally about twice as slow as mounts.
Guild Wars 2 has been around since 2012 and they just announced (a few months ago, so who knows now) that they were working on a new expansion (yay!) so it should be around for quite a long time to come.
Just a quick Q, since I’ve been clicking around and am either losing my mind or need to ask, are they Android only (no Iphones?)?
I’m not sure I have the mental space to learn a whole new type of phone right now, ha.
Ooooh I didn’t even think of that - I’ve only had Androids - and yep it looks like they don’t fully support iPhone yet
Consumer cellular Does. Looks like it’s $60 a month if you want unlimited data. You should be able to use the same phone you have if you can put a sim card in. Ordering the sim card is free, but I don’t know how to tell if your phone is unlocked. They will talk you through it though if you want to try to find out.
If you decide you want to try it out, and you like, DM me your email address and I’ll send you a referral that gets us both a $25 credit.

Thanks! I needed a new cell phone as well, which is why this is aptly timed
I will definitely take a look, thank you!
I started on RuneScape years ago and have been thinking about getting back into it (my partner still plays) just for nostalgia’s sake.
The things I like most about Elder Scrolls Online are the crafting system, quests, lore, and community (once you get established in a guild). I have been known to go on an outfit customization or house customization kick every once in a while, too.
I did dabble in League of Legends for a while, and while it was fun, I was terrible at it xD
