I would think so, too.
Thank you all so much!
Yup. Lived in 2 states, had rolled over capital losses from a third. Sooo fun.
Yes but…I have friends who work for big consultant companies so they travel a lot to other states for projects and they’ve complained in the past about getting W2s from multiple states and having to hire an accountant to help keep it all straight. There are similar stories in the news about cheeleaders for the NFL/NBA who have to file in multiple states since they are technically working in those places when there is a game.
That’s crazy!
I’m not a tax expert either so it may be something about how they are classified, but I would definitely check with an accountant before assuming you don’t have to pay taxes in Oregon if there are multiple site visits there.
So, my wife has done this. Office in KS, worked in KS, OK, MO, NE., each project was responsible for keeping track of the gotta worked in each state so taxes could come out appropriately.
Jesus christ. Lol well last company and this company definitely don’t do that AFAIK, because he works sometimes in Idaho and Montana and California too.
Wtf taxes. Wtf.
Er… I’ve done field work in other states (though not for a long time now) and I never had to do that. I suppose it’s a moot point, my hourly rate has (had) been too high for quite a few years for anyone to want me on their project anymore, even though I kicked ass at it.
I go to conferences in other states (or did Before), never even thought about this.
Okay, talked to SirB who talked to someone else. I guess since they’re salary, and the office is doing the billing rather than them making money contingent on location, that makes it all one state? Or something? Like it would be different if they were directly clients of theirs as contractors, not clients of the business with them as service people basically?
Yes’m, that makes complete sense.
I’m glad. I seriously need to check on everything right now. Baby is having a major sleep regression and my brain is just… crap. It doesn’t work anymore. So I’m constantly trying to figure out if things ACTUALLY make sense or if my brain is just mush.
Anyone here also have scalp eczema? I need your wisdom. I didn’t realize it but I’ve had pretty bad scalp eczema for about 3 years and a few months ago got steroid drops for it. I’m only supposed to use those as needed which I’m fine with but is there anything I can use more proactively? My derm told me to do my best to stay moisturized for my body eczema but I’m at a loss for what to do for my scalp. For example I have a big patch in front of my ear that I only noticed because of the peeling just now. I can do coconut oil treatments but that’s kind of an undertaking to do all the time since my hair is permanently greasy until it gets washed a few times after that (which dries out my scalp). I feel like I’m abusing my poor skin but it doesn’t bother me (aka I don’t even notice it’s happening) until it is bad and itchy and I’dlike to prevent that.
I don’t know if what I have is eczema, I’ve never asked a doctor, but my gross scalp issues are helped by nizoral.
Hmm I’ll look into that
Have you tried a silicone free conditioner on your scslp?
Yep, I use Kevin Murphy shampoo and conditioner and it’s only natural ingredients, mostly plant derived.
Also now that I think about it I’m not sure that the dandruff shampoo would work because anti-fungals didn’t work on my body eczema. I showed it to my midwife while I was pregnant and she thought it could have been a yeast infection of the skin but it only got worse with those treatments. So far only the steroids from the Derm keep it at bay.
My brain is melting so I’ve been reading fun and fluffy books. Most recently I finished the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy, which was the right intellectual level for me. Any recommendations for enjoyable reads?
Wait it’s a TRILOGY? Awesome.
I’ve been enjoying Lost Girls of Paris. Not fully per se, but it’s been easy to follow while listening to it on audiobook.
