It’s also not about anything too important. I was advising against the white backpack. She’s trying out taking a risk, I guess. But not too much risk!
I’ve probably heard the spirit of those words come out of my 5yo daughter’s mouth, if not the actual phrasing. Good to know what 15 will bring.

What’s the latest whooping cough vaccine guidelines for early visitors?
I’m going to spend a week helping y friend with her 6 week old baby in August and I last got a Tdap when I was pregnant (5 years ago). I could have sworn that my OB said grandparents/caregivers should have one within 5 years but the Internet seems to say 10 years.
Does the answer change if I’ve had lost immunity to vaccines before (my measle antibody titers were low when tested)
Last I asked was 10 but I think I asked before my first baby 2+ years ago and just assumed all my relevant people were still good
I heard 10 as well
I’ve got to get another one because it’s been 10 years and dd1 isn’t vaccinated for medical reasons.
But they give it with the tetanus shot and they seem to be giving tetanus shots more often now, especially if you’re gardening.
I keep getting sidetracked getting an appointment because I want it from my new pharmacy not Walgreens and their process is annoyingly complicated. I’ll try and work through it tomorrow, though.
It was 5 if visiting a new baby/ close caregivers, 10y in general, as per what I read up when Duckling was born 8 years ago.
Thanks! That’s kind of what I remember from 5 years ago. Friend is going to ask her pediatrician tomorrow and I will get jabbed on Friday if needed
This is what I was told
Not a question but a useful link I found that talks about making sensory kits for your kid with some examples provided. Some of the examples were things I hadn’t thought of before and didn’t knows us parents have enough to do without needing to reinvent the wheel.
@Meowkins @ElleP and probably others I’m drawing a blank on right now
