Random Product Recommendations

What have you been using lately that you just want to tell everyone about??? From food to clothes to appliances to yard stuff to anything you can imagine!

You can post a referral link if you want, but not trying to turn this into a space for self promotion.

I’ll start:

No one in my life thinks this is as cool as I do, lol. It tastes just like coffee, even froths up like it! Plus no caffeine and dissolves into water easily. I love the flavor of coffee but I can’t drink that much caffeine and this has been a nice fit. Made with dandelion, chicory, barley, and rye!

Ooh I’m so glad you posted this! I was going to try it based off your recommendation, but I didn’t realize that it has gluten in it! Rye contains gluten :sob: I’m sad that I can’t try it, but I’m glad your post saved me from poisoning myself!

Okay, not necessarily frugal, but a life saver for me. I order Hello Fresh meals one month of the year usually. Only 3 meals a week because their meals are huge and often serve the two of us two meals. These meals are usually ordered during the early part of the year. This year I have them for gardening season.

Seniors and student discounts are available. There are also discounts for newcomers and if you return to the service after being away. All these discounts mean I will have paid about $300 CAD for food the month of May. Not bad. I normally spend about $500/mth.

I’m always on the lookout for something that tastes like coffee but without the caffeine crash.

I like Dandyblend too.

Hello Fresh? Well, we’ve been doing a lot of take out and prefab, so I don’t know why not… I’ll look into it!

Truly, a random one, but came up recently. You wanna stay and watch more you wanna go watch the trucks work over there you wanna watch the people rebuild the ramp we can go see the ramp.

OK, that was just voice to text not getting canceled and capturing me talking to my toddler, I’m keeping it in because those things are ridiculously hilarious to me.

ANYWAY, this came up recently with a friend. I had atrociously low vitamin D levels (11!) and I spent years on 10,000IU per day to get my levels to the low 20s. Well I added vitamin K2 and it rocketed up to the 60s, and has easily stayed in the optimal range with like 2,000IU every other day since. So if anyone else is weirdly D3 supplement resistant, consider Thorne K2/D3 drops (talk to your doctor know your lab numbers this isn’t specific medical advice yada yada). I literally use 2 drops every 1-2 weeks, a bottle lasts years, but it was a huge change even with that small dosing.

THIS FUCKER. I love it. Gretchen Rubin told me to buy it. It took a second to learn how to use it but it leaves no sharp edges :exploding_head: I’m super impressed and recommend this now.

Your post reminded me that I really love my can opener. I think it’s a bit pricey for a can opener but every time I use it, I’m so happy I have it. Can I turn the crank on a manual can opener? Of course I can, I did that for most of my life. But this thing, I pull it out of the drawer, put in on my can and then turn away and do other cooking tasks and a minute later, I pull the whole thing up and the magnet holds on to the top of the can so I don’t have to touch it and there are no sharp edges and I just think it’s super handy. I love that I don’t have to stand there and babysit it, I can just keep moving. I guess I’m usually in a hurry when I’m cooking, unfortunately. YES! Sunscreen stick is the only tolerated sunscreen by B1! So I’m going to plug the attitude one! I like face/baby sizes for my purse but use the big ones at home/ backpack outings. They also work as lotion bars for people who have lotion issues (aren’t oily like lotion bars either.

Attitude is my new fave (and Canadian and cardboard packaging) but Neutrogena and Aveeno baby are classics. Didn’t love sunbum and green beaver is terrible.

Huha cami bralettes. A bralette that works if you have a bigger chest! Holds up to washes.

Understance flex wire bras. Not sure about longevity yet, but I’ve fallen asleep in them repeatedly while having the shaping and support of regular underwire.

Skinfix cleanser and moisturizer. Really simple and really effective. Gets the sunscreen off in one go, moisturizes for under sunscreen or for a light night layer/no sunscreen day.

Yeah sunbum we didn’t like as much but I don’t remember why,) and the cheaper sticks vs the neutrogena are super super pasty white. My children are white-white, and even then the store brand mineral ones stand out very stark on their faces. And some of the nice but very eco/health branded ones too. But the delivery mode is still top notch for cranky kids.

Oh hello

Thanks for this. Just went out and bought Aveeno Baby for myself. No babies here. But a definite issue with smelly sunscreen and burning with a few minutes sun exposure.
