Pregnancy is weird

That’s the WORST

It is SO RUDE.

Anyway i did manage to eat a tiny bit of porridge, yoghurt and 1 hash brown yesterday. So things are getting better.

(No this is not enough to sustain an adult let alone a pregnant person but i know my baby is growing just fine.)

ME TOO.

I even had Apricot jam earlier this week. Fruit!!!
Also like 4+ cups of hot water + soy milk, which has fortification with vitamins and minerals and stuff.

But i did also cry a lil because i wanted garlic bread and bbq chicken pizza and cannot.

Also your previous tips on sour things has helped me work out what things might work for me, on the days when i eat.

HELL YEAH

Ponder ruined the fun a little and pointed out I could have been done with 1st trimester if I’d just agreed to not have another baby. Shhhhh.

The stomach cramps, hyper saliva and fatigue have definitely improved. Which makes it easier to eat and drink.

I suspected as much. I have a new doctor for this pregnancy. But because I am now an Experienced Mum ™ he believes me about quick births. My other doctor did all my other pregnancies and also did believe me that i would be quick, or that i felt i was very likely to be quick, and i turned up in a state that was fortunately obviously going to be quick to everyone for my first. Pumpkin I had booked in and was just broke the waters and wait. So i guess I’ll focus on tear & bruising reduction strategies instead. And trying not to scare the other labouring folk with my noise (i am not a quiet birther).

26 minutes!!! Thats intense. Far out. Mine definitely caused tearing. So yeah, will just have to practice my muscle relaxation and stuff and make sure Ponder knows to make the midwives support the perineum with warm cloths. Maybe look up some birth positions, mine was not ideal but we couldn’t make either baby shift except on a slightly reclined back. And then they were pretty quick.

CUES!!! I need to make myself some cues for the pelvic floor relaxation!!! Aaaah. (And practice a couple mantras). Thats about all the tools i get unless i get brave and ask for an epidural before things even start.

It looks like there’s some evidence that perineal massage can reduce risk of severe tears in first-time deliveries. No effect on tearing for second & later births, but still a reduction in pain 3 months postpartum.

anecdata but i felt like it also helped me with my second. for me, a noticeable difference in elasticity in earlier vs. later sessions! i didn’t have to do it as much, either.

for me, the warm cloth WAS the cue, but then again, i’ve always loved warmth as a way to relax, so maybe that was natural for me!

I couldn’t/didn’t have someone who could with my first and had a bigger tear with my first. We did the coconut oil massage for my second and I tore less :woman_shrugging:t2:. But also it was my second and tiny.

I just wanna say you should be complaining WAY more if it helps lol

I have like 4 places I am complaining in

Pear. Works on pregnant people just like it does on babies. I may have mentioned before but will probably mention again. Can’t wait to have a functioning digestive system in ~6 months.

Almonds (blanched and pre-sliced) are an acceptable food. Yay!
