Sour. It works. I had too much lemon in one of my pregnancies for my poor teeth.

Vinegar and salt are fucking magic

Dumb question. How well/easily does milk wash out? Am I trashing shirts if I wear them without a bra or pads now that I’m a leaky faucet?

You’re good! At least with cotton. Maaaybe a tiny stain risk on white? IDK. But I barely wore pads and all staining was food stains

The only thing that stained my clothes was that yellow (medela perhaps) lanolin nipple cream. I will say that you’ll want the pads at least at first bc shit be leakingggg constantly, also then you can cream with abandon

Grease stains, yes. Smell, no unless it sits. Miss Messy Mouth spray is great on food type stains (which milk is), and easy to use since just spritz spritz throw into wash.

Do not allow to laundry pile and ferment. Foul, awful, may as well burn it all. Yes, personal experience.

ETA those stick on disposable nipple covers are boss- reduced the sensitivity issues of the nipples too during. Not as eco but the reusable ones didn’t do it for me. Move, hard to wash and get dry, etc. Just fiddly and I didn’t like the texture.

Same, the reusable ones kinda hurt? Disposable all the way

Yeah I’ll happily be an eco warrior for a lot of stuff but not if my nips hurt like a MoFo.

The gel ones? Those were so soothing. I liked the Earth Mama cream too.

I use some bamboo reusable breast cover pads things now that the nipples are chiller. I don’t like the aesthetics of them much but I do like them functionally.

I got some milk stains on a couple things early on but quickly developed The OxyClean Bucket for presoaking everything (helpful for both milk and food stains). Currently the only stained things are her bibs and where Wizard squirted her liquid vitamins on some onesies.

No but the gel ones are also incredible. I meant the ones that are like panty liners, but breast pads.

These are what I meant.

But these are the best thing ever-

This is the way.

I didn’t have trouble with reusable but I guess everyone is different! When I gave them away I missed one that I found later and I use it as a coaster for my Bed Tea!

My hot tip: go ahead and buy 3-4 stain remover spray bottles now and have them in all the bedrooms and by the washing machine so you can just spray whenever you are stripping down. Less for things coming directly from your boobs and more for the regurgitated milk and poop that will be following.

After 4 days of using my husband’s toothpaste I have confirmed that my last pregnancy made me allergic to my longtime toothpaste. Very annoying but glad to have a reason for my interminably chapped lips

Just curious - did your last toothpaste contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate? For my entire life I thought everybody had little bits of their lip peel off, and finally a dental hygienist suggested that I switch to a sls-free toothpaste. And no more peeling!!

And then I told my mom that and she was like “I thought everyone had bits of lip peel off!!” :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Yes, I do wonder if that was the problem ingredient for me! But I’ve used it for probably 15 years without issue. My first pregnancy made me allergic to my favorite bar soap so I really think my skin is just freaking out during pregnancy

Cant tell if I had better pelvic floor health last pregnancy or if I just didn’t have a toddler in daycare and therefore wasn’t having coughing fits that make me pee my underwear
