It’s very funny, I was a little sad about having a girl at first because I had gotten very attached to the idea of brothers but we’ve been rewatching Severance and the main character has a close relationship with his sister and every time they do some cute verbal sparring DH looks at me and goes "siblings "
Yeah I think for me I just always wanted a sister. But also same sex siblings aren’t always closer!
It’s true! It’s a toss up no matter what!
Love how when I’m pregnant body is like “let’s try to grow a beard”
Might as well, you’re making all the other parts
lol
So I’m mostly not puking anymore and due to my pre-existing body shape don’t feel like I look any different and am not feeling movement and it’s been nearly five weeks since my last appointment so I’m just like, helloooo anyone in there?
Same except the puking lol. I feel like this time I just look fat. Is what it is I suppose ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah I’m like I could be rounder but this also just might be how I look lol
Why is the default response, when people discover I have a son and will soon have a daughter, “Oh, one of each! That’s perfect!”
Gender shiz is weird yo
I joke that I have one of each.
A blond and a brunette.
Or a left hander and a right hander.
Hehehe
Yep, and it doesn’t matter what you have. I have two girls, so I get the, “try for a boy? or husband doesn’t want a son?” ones all the time. Umm, no. Actually we like the ones we have, and we weren’t trying for ‘something else,’ when we got our second daughter. Please stop talking like that in front of her THANKSBYE.
I feel such joy watching my husband shut people down “two girls. Need a boy next eh?” “Why, do you not like your daughters much?” “Gotta try for a boy next!” “No thanks. Birth nearly killed my wife, I’d like to keep her” He’s normally a pretty quiet guy with random people so the few times he’s done this catch me off guard, makes it all the more funny.
I also have 2 daughters and it’s wild what people say! Like I like my kids they are super cool. I also cannot in anyway have another one for a lot of reasons. Husband is good about shutting shit down which i appreciate.
That’s interesting, I have 2 boys and no one has ever asked me when girl.
Fuck the patriarchy, I guess.
Same, and I was also thinking that
All of these responses make me even more mad lol!!!
I’ve also gotten the “perfect! One of each!” I’m like my parents only got one of each by having three! Boy, girl, neither/both depending on the day lol.
I think people just ask the question because it’s what people do and then they don’t know what to say so they say something positive. Great, one of each! Great, your first (child of this gender) seems great so another of that gender is also good news.
I will save my most intense shade for people suggesting that two of the same kind is undesirable.
I have to schedule my birth education class and I’m like huh? What? Already? I swear this pregnancy is taking 0 time and it’s freaky.
It also means I will either have to find an actual babysitter for about 5-6 weeks or do the class alone. Last time I remembered approximately 0 things while in labor so I would like GM to go with me, but Mo hasn’t spent that long without one of us since she was a couple weeks old so I’m very nervous about getting a babysitter.
