Pregnancy is weird

Very similar criteria here. Mo’s name for 2023 was roughly 7 people in 1000 and so far we haven’t met another baby/toddler with her name!

I’m thinking I can sell GM on Arthur which I feel like is a name everyone knows and is about 7 in 500 people in 2023.

But again. Could be a girl!

Mos name always makes me chuckle because it was my high school boyfriends name, and was almost my own name!

Latte we ended up more common end, Luna less common end. Naming Luna was harder too because then you’re working with the prior kids name as well :face_with_spiral_eyes: so many factors lol.

Yeah we’re pretty sure we don’t want another M, are leaning away from names that share any cat or human first initials eliminating B, R, and E, and I’m hesitant about anything with an an/en/on ending because between my best friend and me, we currently have a (will delete) Orion, Rowan, and Morgan and adding like Owen seems like a bit much!

My boy name was Connor. DH didn’t like it but I don’t have to fight that fight lol

Arthur’s way more popular in France than the US for some reason

I find it interesting how different regional/country preferences can be! At one point I could figure out how to find rankings by state and my favorite boys name at the time was like 50 in the country but 8 in the state or something.

Arthur is a great name! Wife vetoed for Bernito because it would be hard for her parents to say, but I don’t think would be a consideration for you guys unless I missed something big lol. I love the name we ended up with obviously, but it’s a little artsy fartsy I know

I looove Bernito’s irl name, we would consider it if we weren’t close but not like honoring them close with an adult with the name.

I wanted “easy to say/spell and not too common” and then ended up with very popular names, despite checking rankings. So. Whoops

We have done the middle name is the one that honours prior family members route and that has worked well for us.

Haha this is Latte’s name. Not that high country ranking, much higher in our region. She’s been with other girls of her name in school twice now :joy: (it’s fine. She adores her middle name and goes by first + middle when there’s two of them. Works out great).
